I seriously think Arsenal will have a say this season. It is just my gut feeling. Remember Chelsea dominated the league under Mourinho and then ManU came out of nowhere to win 3 leagues in a row. I really like the way Arsenal play but don't like the way they whine

Chelsea's squad is no doubt the best but they have a new coach who is new to English football. It remains to be seen how he handles the pressure of both Roman Abramovic and the english press.

Chelsea and Real Madrid are in the same boat. Strong squad, new coach.

There is a crucial difference : Chelsea have a settled squad, -- playing
together for a while. Not so for Real.

Anybody's watching the Nehru Cup final? India 4- Syria 4, in the penalty shootout!
One heck of a match!

Edit: India Wins! 5-4, in the penalty. Hats off to the Goalie. He saved the last one!

PS- I am not a regular Football watcher, but this match might have just turned me into one!

Yes truly enjoyed the match.

But the Indian defense was Horrible. I am surprised they didnt let in more in normal time.

But a well deserved win for Bhutia, the Coach and the Team. Now to win some tournaments on foreign soil.

This thread has been inactive for far too long. The EPL season is really warming up now. Chelsea and Man U have suffered early losses to smaller clubs. Liverpool and Arsenal are striking form after an indifferent start. Man City are becoming a force to reckon with. Aston Villa and Tottenham are ever improving. Boy, this season is going to be something!

Derby was easily the match of the year, I have a feeling we will see Manchester city finish in the top 4 at least.

Righty so! I got to see only the last 30 mins, and they made ofr missing the rest of the match. However, i was sure ManU would win.

Derbies are matches where in players forget what their coaches have instructed And thats why you see some basic mistakes being committed and loads of goals being scored. I love them.

Frankly I didnt think ManU would win after Bellamy scored but kudos to Giggsy and Owen for the last goal. It was brilliantly executed.

Amith - If Man city finish in top 4, who will they eliminate among the big 4?

You have a point there, JVH. Ferdinand's mistake which resulted in a goal was elementary, and rather stupid. He was lucky that Owen made up for his mistake.

Yes. I agree to all that and I am a die hard ManU Fan. But, the injury time was too much. Correct?

I was hoping someone would mention it. Can you believe the goal was scored in the 6th minute and the allotted time was 4 mins? No wonder Mark Hughes was a dejected man.

All said and done, teams need to finish off the game to be on the surer side. You cannot chance upon a goal difference or a draw because a goal can be scored even by a fluke and then the whole equation changes.

Jayant, that was just to make the rivals feel better. We are not going to let go off the cup any time soon. Also, can't take any thing away from Owens goal, the pass from Giggs was just too good. Owen had to score.
