What is your fitness goal? How many sets / reps?
2 Goals:
  1. To try and succeed in putting my paunch inside.
  2. To look a little broader than what I am currently.
Three sets of everything. I am kind of in shape so no cardio as such. Will ask my coach about the shoulder thingy.

The paunch needs cardio
The "V" needs back AND shoulder
You're doing neither!
Do ask the coach pronto!

I am that ways not that bad looking (appearance). So the tummy is very negligible. Hence the cardio was ruled out.

Yes, "V" is needed! First he has asked me to tone down, and then go in for hard exercises.

@BBlost - "O" is the stage that I don't want to achieve.

@amtak: you are getting married right. So half your exercise regimen is already taken care off.

long walks carrying heavy loads while women do this weird activity called shopping.

Enjoy.

Cardio is not only to lose your tummy. Cardio exercises and makes your heart, which is a "muscle", stronger. With better cardiovascular function, you also have extra oxygen in your bloodstream, making for better workouts.
Cardio is very essential. That's why, in the armed forces, you see the guys marching and running all the time, not lifting weights!

Best place to buy exercise equipments in Bangalore

Friends, I am looking to buy some exercise equipments like incline adjustable bench, dumbells, plates, rods etc. in Bangalore. Any pointers could be helpful. I am not looking for some expensive stuff as this is just for my home gym.

Hi Sid, if you are looking for economical stuff, you can have a look in the bigbazar outlets, they have a decent collection of dumbells, rods, plates, benches, steppers, stretching bands, ab (abking pro), home gym (with all the chest, bicep, tricep stuff put together), swiss balls and many many similar things. I was finding almost everything you need for a home gym (I havent bought anything, because I go to a regular gym now). Its economical because most of them are not carrying a big brand. If you are looking for branded stuff, you might find them on M G Road, commercial street, garuda mall, forum etc. Hope this info helps.

No need for diet supplements, rather, try reducing your intake

At first, just cut junk, soft-drinks and bread+rice+biscuits. Should get you going in the right direction for now.

Try running outside in the morning when it's cool and there's no pollution or traffic. Apart from that, do a bit of weightlifting to increase your basal metabolic rate so you're burning more calories even when resting. And increase your cardio-workout intensity. If you can go 40 minutes and not sweat your *** off, you're not trying hard enough.

completely agreed - a good diet and a basic weight training program (to up your rest metabolic rate) need to be added to the cardio regimen
