Watched Collateral on netflix. It's a british detective drama regarding murder of a pizza delivery boy & the series of events leading to the killer. The series ended too soon for my liking & i expected more from it. Will rate it 3.5/5.

Person of Interest [Amazon Prime: 2011 - 2016]

I feel a few TV series which ran before the growth of streaming platforms never got their due. Jonathan Nolan's Person of Interest is one such. The series deals with AI, government surveillance, privacy, and the ethics or philosophy around all these in a brilliant manner.

I liked the way they didn't anthropomorphize the AI system; there are no humanoids or robots running wild. The AI-gone-rogue tries to achieve its objectives via human agents. In a particularly interesting sequence in season 5, the AI gets the blissfully ignorant humans to relocate itself to multiple locations so the AI can't be physically shutdown. I would imagine that if (when??) AI goes rogue, that's how humans would be enslaved without us even realizing it, and not by Westworld (another superb Jonathan Nolan creation) type conscious hosts.

Season 1 and 2 are not so impressive as the episodes are fairly straight-forward police/crime drama, but hang on till season for season 4 and 5 for really exhilarating sci-fi drama.

Jonathan Nolan delivers.

4/5

I loved it and can still watch it again. Enjoyed series 1 and 2 as they build up the players and their background

Line of duty
Finished season 6. As network hasn't stated if there will be a season 7 most people have assumed this was the last season. It's a shame as it's brilliant and season 6 finally brings the curtain to 'H' storyline. Although the finale was a bit underwhelming and the reveal a bit damp. Still, it's an amazing series and probably the best British series.
Rating- 9/10

Edit- Another vote for Person of Interest. It's amazing and has a very satisfying ending which is rare for so many long running series. Case in point Game of Thrones.

Re: The TV / Streaming shows thread (no spoilers please)

Man, I stopped Person of Interest somewhere in between back in 2016 when I was in the middle of the relocation and with no internet. Loved it back then. I think I should start it from the beginning. I did hear it ended on a good note.

Woot, it's on Prime Video! All the seasons! Shall start shortly.

When is Netflix going to add the season 5 of Money heist?
I've already seen all the four seasons three times, just can't play this agonizing waiting game.

Finished watching People Vs O.J. Simpson on Netflix. I was always wee bit interested in this show, whenever it popped up on my Netflix screen, but it just didn’t entice me enough. Finally got down to watch this and what a good court room drama it is! Absolutely enjoyed it, would recommend it to anyone who loves court room drama.
Rating 4.5/5

Mayans MC
Finally watched it. Picks up from where Sons of Anarchy ended. It's the same production team I believe and many Sons of Anarchy cast members makes an appearance in between. It's not on the same level as of SOA but still highly entertaining.
Rating - 8/10

Call my agent:4/5
It's a French series on Netflix, so have to watch with subtitles.

It's a story about an agency which caters to the bigwigs of French Cinema. Many French actor, actresses make a guest appearance. It is absolutely hilarious. Consist of 4 seasons, each season consist of 6 episodes. Initially the show was supposed to end post season 4 but it has been renewed for season 5 as well as a short movie too.

Finale releases this Wednesday I think. Liked it so far. Would rate it 4/5
Just finished watching the season finale.

A good light-hearted series; typical TVF. Always love their content.

Definitely recommended!

One of the true gem of a real life case made into a limited series is "When they see us".. a true story. It is a must watch. Highly engrossing and will give goosebumps for sure. It has just 4 episodes and is on Netflix. I rate it 4.5 / 5

Recently watched the very funny Righteous Gemstones in Hotstar. Its a dark comedy about a family of rich televangelists doing not so good stuff. It has Danny Mcbride and his own sense of brusque humour.

Here's a clip with Danny Mcbride and his Lincoln Navigator (I think).

With Family, you may try watching Gullak on Sony Liv.
Another light hearted option is Chacha Vidhayak hai hamare on Prime. Both are very nice.
