If you liked it then another one, even better one I must say, is The Inside Job (2010).

Heres the trailer:

While we are on this topic, there was a movie Margin Call about an investment bank that triggered kind of accelerated the crisis to save themselves when they saw it coming.
It had a big list of A-listers and some very strong conversations, take a peak at .

Have seen - great watch, both of them.

If you haven't already, don't miss Enron - The Smartest Guys in the Room.

Re: The English Movies Thread (No Spoilers Please)

Caught up with 2 movies during the Diwali holidays:

John Wick - 9/10

Kickass gun-fight choreography and fast paced! Absolutely loved the simplistic storyline and the neo-noir setting. If you loved the first Taken movie, you’ll love this too. I hear John Wick 2 is under production but I hope they don’t make it a mess like the Taken franchise. Perfect for a weekend night with friends.

Not sure if this trailer would do justice:

Big Hero 6 - 9/10

Walt Disney’s animation movie based on superheroes created by a robotics prodigy. Loved the story (although it was a bit predictable), the animations, humour and sfx. There is a post-credits scene once the entire credits roll out - wait it out and don’t miss it!

The kids in the house will love this! And so will the adults if they are into animation movies like Up!, Kung Fu Panda, How to Train Your Dragon, Toy Story etc.

Re: The English Movies Thread (No Spoilers Please)

Although I'm a huge buff for movies like Inception, Interstellar, Dark Knight, The Hunger games, etc. Once in a while i do hunt for some off-beat movies which don't get highlighted much and come out surprisingly happy to have found them.

Here is one such movie which I don't think has been mentioned here in the thread -

The perks of being a wallflower (2012)

Starring - Emma Watson, Logan Lerman, Ezra Miller

Not a movie for sci-fy and action lovers. Its for someone who can cherish variety of human emotions. Kind of slow in between but nevertheless I really liked it and has been one of my favorites ever since. More on human behaviour and psychology following some early life traumatic events.

Re: The English Movies Thread (No Spoilers Please)

just watched two danish crime films

The Keeper of Lost Causes and its following The Absent One. There is no english dubbing, just subtitles. Great acting by the lead actors and if you liked 'Girl with the Dragon Tattoo' this might well be worth the time.

Films are based on the Danish author Jussi Adler-Olsen’s Department Q Crime Novels.

Watched the Marshland, disappointed with it, they could have done so much with the movie, it started off very promising, had shades of the Korean thriller Memories of Murder, but was disappointed very soon.

Maybe because the Korean thriller had set the bar so high.

Recently saw the Lives of others, a german movie of the east german era, this was the second time I was watching it, absolute top class performance!

Hitting the apex

Focused on the 2013 motogp season, it's more of a documentary of Marquez Jorge and the death of Sic.
Pretty in depth, pretty informed, and very detailed.
However, it's pretty apparent that Brad Pitt, as the narrator, is a fair enough 46er, that's for sure.
More than two hours, it's a very good watch.

5/5

I found the full movie on YouTube itself. In fact, there were several options.

Spectre: Story does not have enough depth. They tried to make movie look brainy but I feel they failed. Weakest of the James Bond franchise with Daniel Craig in lead.

Did you watch Marshland (2014) the Spanish movie or some other. I liked it a lot.
I checked for reviews today and even Rotten tomatoes has a 88% rating (critics)
