Re: Team-BHP and our wives

Aha, so there are a few others too!!!! Makes me happy.
My wife, though not a member, keeps on surfing once in a while, her most preffered section being Travelogues. So all the members out there, who keep on updating their travelogues- a big thank you from me!

Re: Team-BHP and our wives

There are a few Team-BHP threads that could be of interest to the female crowd as well:
  • Recipes/Cooking (under shiftng gears)
  • Home appliances (under shifting gears)
  • Travelogues
  • Photography threads
  • Discussion on Schools/school syllabus/education boards

Re: Team-BHP and our wives

I'm not married and would certainly never have a wife! But would like to add that too much of t-bhp has become a problem even for some of my boy friends! What to do in that case????

Have tried to lure them into joining but that is just not useful...to make matters worse they take it on their fragile male egos!!!!!

Hi
I guess this thread is inevitable in this forum. Initially i had few complaints that i am spending too much time sitting in front of the monitor and not paying attention to natives. But things have come a long way now. The help i received from this forum when i was deciding which car to buy and from fellow team bhpians is top class. My wife had been browsing along with me and even contributed a few points for and against any vehicle that we were considering. Now what can i say for every route query, hotels, petrol bunks, where to dine, service issues, insurance of the car, home appliances, dth services and the list just goes on team bhp has been a great help. Now i browse and fill her on the details about whatever interesting i read and she reads it if she finds it interesting and contributes her thoughts on it. What can i say i am the lucky one.

And for herself she wants the smart car. small and easy to handle.
Ha ha. I totally understand the cruiser with a back rest part yaar. But i intend to get one some time in the future god willing. Cheers

Re: Team-BHP and our wives

Umm people i dont have a wife problem as of yet because i am too young for that. However there is certainly a woman involved that is my mom!

Thankfully i study in a different city and it was only during college life i got into Tbhp.As long as i am college and in a different city i can blissfully surf tbhp as long as i want.

However whenever i go home there are retrictions on net use,and my mom will be breathing down my neck if i have been surfing for and hour or 2.

"Why dont you stick your face into the computer? All day long sitting in front of facebook!"

"Ermm mom this is not facebook its a site which automotive site for car lovers"

"Yes yes keep on continue socialising with everyone, now enough shut off the comp!"

:(

Re: Team-BHP and our wives

An innovative thread....
Whenever my wife sees the black home page on my computer screen especially in the morning, she gets bit wild and starts, " always wasting time, no timely support bla bla... Then I have to convince that someone has given feedback for my post and need to reply... She responds immediately, " how unfortunate they are, to read your posts and feedback".

Re: Team-BHP and our wives

Thanks mdsaab.
Daughter has been closely following this thread and simply loves it. Wants to join tbhp independently as a member. One of her dreams is that we should plan and enter as a mother/daughter team for the Raid or Desert Storm. I let that one pass because as long as she remains a law student I see little chance of that happening for the next 2+ years.

Perhaps there should be a match making section here on Team BHP? Just kidding, no offence meant!

About recipes section, it would be better for the ladies to help out, especially people like me who have to cook regularly

Re: Team-BHP and our wives

While i do understand the pains most of you must be going through, thankfully i am a tad lucky there. My wife understands that it is healthy to have a few hobbies and spend some time on them. I, on my part, make sure that it does not come in the way of other household activities that do need to be done.
Having said that, my wife is often amazed at the variety of topics we discuss here, apart from automobiles and travelogues.

Re: Team-BHP and our wives

whoa there!
ain't this turning into a subtle wife bashing thread
know what makes the lady go ballistic - me with the laptop, in the recliner......a tall frosty glass at hand! she knows i am in my private paradise
I beg her to give me "space" and she asks me to go to the moon
she's now resigned and the fight's gone out of her

Re: Team-BHP and our wives

Glad that your daughter is following this thread and loving it too. We can see that future bhpians will no longer have trouble accesing the forum as they would probably be introduced to t-bhp by their wives. Way to go! Wish you and your daughter the very best and good luck with the raid or desert storm. Look forward to a thread by you and daughter sometime in the future.
