The new Shell "Super" or whatever the premium Diesel is called, seems to be slightly better for my car than the older one. Tried that for last two full tanks, not bad at all...

I regularly fill up my cars at Shell stations at Whitefield and Bommanahalli ( Hosur Road) . When compared to the Bommanahalli outlet, I have found the Whitefield staff to be very courteous. The Hosur Road guys have big issues, if we ask them to fill the car with regular unleaded petrol. In more than one occasion, when I had asked for regular petrol, after some thought I was told by the attendant they do not have stock. I could see from his face that he was lying. I had thought of complaining to Shell but has not done so yet.

Anyone else has faced the same issues?

Hi,

I was travelling to Bannarghetta National Park with family yesterday. I was the only male, others were ladies and kids.

I stopped at the IOC pump on Bannarghetta Road (after Honeywell and before National Park) on the left hand side. Its a small pump. I do not know the exact location.

I asked the attendant to fill Xtra Premium full tank. He put the nozzle on Auto cut off and left to attend another person.

The Auto cut off did not work and petrol started overflowing. I cut if off when I noticed it. But, by that time around 1 litre had overflowed. The attendant took his own time to come back even though I shouted when I noticed Petrol was overflowing. The Cashier wanted me to pay the entire bill. He started getting rude when I refused. All the attendants sorrounded me and started supporting the cashier. I told them to call the manager and there was no manager. If the guys behaved properly I would have paid the full amount and pushed off. The cashier was rude and threatened me that I cannot leave unless I pay the full amount. The crowd waiting to fill petrol was just watching all this and having fun.

I did not take it further as the family was with me. I will never visit this pump in my life. The way they handled the situation was very bad. I agree that mistakes happen. But they should atleast admit the mistake and behave properly. If I was alone I would not have moved from there until and unless they mend their ways.

BP petrol bunk in ekkattuthangal

I usually go to Shell for filling petrol. In one such instance due to low petrol in my Scooty pep i went to BP in ekkattuthangal opposite to Vertusa. I asked the attendent to fill petrol for Rs.100/-. Without even showing me the reset of the meter he started filling the petrol. I got supecious and asked him to top-up the tank after he filled for Rs.100/- to my suprise he refused to top-up giving non-sense excuses and finally he filled and much to my suprise he was able to fill 5 liters of petrol. The total tank capacity is 5liters, when i started fighting he sarting giving all technical reasons in the universe. I will not go to anyother bunk other than Shell.

The HP guys on Brigade Road Residency Road juntion are also cheats. i have had experiences where they have distracted me and not started at zero. I know Shell is great in this respect. But the problem is that they have only premium fuel and not the standard petrol. So i have stopped going there. I have thankfully not had these issues with LPG pumps. Has anyone experienced cheating here too?

when i first filled up fuel at shell porur, this was in january 2007 or so afaik i really felt a difference. car felt a bit more responsive and FE improved.but after a few months i'm not sure if the quality dropped or something i felt that its again a bit sluggish and no different from any other fuel. now i am back to desi booze as roc put it aka ioc regular.

No, I used to fill petrol regularly there before moving to a pump near my house.

Only if they had Xtramile diesel, I would have come back now. But still fill once in a while.

Bad cheating bunk I heard from last 5 years around vijaynagar is Chandra Layout Chord signal BP bunk where they cheat in quantity and may be quality too.

I was travelling in Matiz although my driver told me couple of days back that fuel is almost empty, anyway I was careless about it and it got over so I sent my driver with bottle to bring fuel and after that we drove Matiz to bunk which is 1 km from the spot. I aksed guy to put 200 rs petrol and I didn't get down from the car and he asked me give 12 rs more so he will 4 ltrs. I said no and by that time he started filling petrol I shouted from car (this is first time I didn't get down while filling petrol) seeing he started from 1 instead of 0 as reading.

I blasted him for 2 minutes and told him stop doing such silly cheating behavior because already one can see hardly any people visit their bunk.

I was careless because it was 200 rs fuel but my wife laughed at me saying even I got cheated after I used to tell her many similar story after reading tbhp!

One funny thing is bunk guys over there including traffic police who is resting in the bunk don't much as if they did mikstake, I even asked him how many customers they cheat daily and he smiles.

Regards,

Ravi.

These people are omni present all over in almost all IOC/BP/HP pertorl pumps.
They wont miss any opportunity to cheat others. REcently at IOC pump ( as reliance has closed i prefer IOC Xtra Premium ) the attendant tried to block my view. After hot arguments he told me that he can beat the hell out of me at that point.

But then all other customers were angry for this and evnetually I invited him for a fight. Ended this thing peacefully but everyone gets the idea. These guys are worst than AutoWallahs.

i haven't been on this thread for sometime now and don't know if someone has posted this earlier but the Shell bunks now only stock premium petrol and I recently hit the OMR bunk after quite sometime (since i have now shifted to kormangla) and realised that shell premium is almost rs.65/ltr

Shell fuel is good and I always felt their regular petrol was better than HP/IOC premium, but shell premium at 65/ltr is too much.

Any recommendations on good bunks in Kormangla, especially near Raheja residency. Hows the small HP bunk opposite fitness one, is it COCO ?? and what about the bunk which is just before u get onto IRR from kormangla? I pass these 2, as I goto MG road for work daily.

any inputs would be great
