LOL, and you'd be best off in an Omni! A hugely successful mountain ride! Next only to a Gypsy!

Omni will be my last option.

You've got the right vehicle, Sha! But do pack at least 300 kgs into it for the ride quality (!!??) to be bearable.

You'd be surprised to see the Omni on the job in the mountains! Quite incredible.

@sha, Do some mods to ensure more air at that altitude.I think you have to remap for higher altitude breathing.I been there in 2006 with my mpfi and it was not revving freely.

Sha, I'd say leave your car as is! Leave well alone!
The only reason an MPFI might have breathing difficulty at altitudes is a choked air filter.

No action for long time! Is it dying down?

I will also try to make it, if it does not take more than two weeks leave.

Great Thread...

I am in too. I have a Honda City (idsi) in pretty good condition. Been upto Munsyari in Uttarakahnd...so not new to hill driving.
Was thinking of doing this from 20th June (sat). Will take a 3 week leave from office. The plan is almost similar to what tsk has made ex delhi. With the only exception of Masmerik La which i think would be more than handfull for my beloved city..

tsk's plan was for september. However september is ruled out for me due to family requiremnets. So 20th June is pretty much final for me when i start from Bhopal.

There might be some people who would be planning for June. We can think of going together...???

now, its time to chalk out plan.

very few people are aware about the route, timings and hotels en route.
some people may not have that info to participate in planning.
experts, please go ahead for planning.
