Do you have the cable? if yes needle staging is in "Instruments' - Adaptation under Cluster Celebration or staging

Tear wipe is in the CECM (Module 09) under Wisher.

Emergency Braking lights under Module 9 long coding

The link mentioned no longer has the cable. Anyone in Hyderabad has the cable.

I want to run Diagnostics on my Skoda Superb Headlights to understand whether it is Xenon bulb failure or Controller or Ballast module. Service centre gave me 2 different reasons when I checked with them. Don't want to spend on unnecessary parts

Thanks

Re: VCDS (Vag-Com Diagnostic System) for VW & Skoda - Discussion Thread

I have been using the VCDS cable ver 11.11 on the windows xp and recently my laptop knocked off and i had to replace the same with window 8. The problem is that on windows 8 the software which came with the cable will not install or run properly. Tried all the compatibility settings, etc in windows but still not result.

Tried finding the software online version which was for windows 8 was ver 12.2.0, installed the same on the laptop and the software opened successfully, however the problem is that while testing the connection it states that the software version of the cable is older and needs to be updated and it won't update.

Will appreciate if someone can let me know will my older cable work with the latest software ?

It won't work, Your only best bet would be to ask the seller you bought it from if he has a copy of the software which he can mail you, You'll need the exact same software you had for the cable to work.

It is a matter of luck when you deal with VCDS cables from AliExpress.

Usually, the cables would support the most common controllers like BCM, but when it comes to advanced controllers like ABS modules, they may not support. I went through three different versions of the cable and none of them supported the ABS/Brake controller in my 2015 GT to set the XDS setting to strong. Only when I got the original RossTech cable, I was able to access all the controllers.

So, to be honest, even the vendor would not be able to tell if this cable will support all the controllers in your 2017 GT. You have to buy it and try it.

Also, check what operating system the cable supports. Sometimes, the software does not work with Windows 8 or 10. If you have a laptop that has Windows 8 or 10, and if the software does not support, that would be a problem. I think you can see the operating system requirements from the AliExpress link. Confirm this before you buy.

EDIT: The following note is found in the product page in AliExpress.
"Systems required: (32bit/64bit) of Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows XP, Windows 10 (but not all win10 can work)"

So, some versions of Win10 may not work.

Thanks a lot for your guidance. I guess I will go ahead and order it and try my luck. I have a spare laptop lying around and will install XP on it.

Google search tells me it's something to do tailgate motor getting short. However, tailgate is working correctly (i.e, can lock, unlock, open etc). Could it be a bad relay fuse? Any idea where I should start looking at?

Did you also get a door open warning when this error showed up? If not, I'd recommend you look at the connections in the lock mechanism and the door switch (for the light) and see if they are OK and erase the error. That should suffice.

This fault it seems was generated while swapping the old battery to new one. After clearing the fault, it didn't re-appear again.

Is there anyone in Kolkata who can help me with some coding? The only reason I am not buying a rear parking system for my Yeti is lack of coding here....

Hi,

I am shortly taking delivery of our GT TSI. Do you mean we can enable mirror autofolding when car is locked after some tweak with vcds?

TIA!
Cheers.
