Pretty sure it'll work since the platforms are hearttech and the column pinion size will be same. Grab that wheel right away

Re: My first car: 2020 Maruti Suzuki XL6 Alpha MT Review

Hello Shashi, found this auto dimming mirror on Boodmo.
Link: https://boodmo.com/catalog/part-mirr..._view-6788737/

Do you think I can fix this on my XL6?
What else do I need to buy?

Rgds,
B

However we soon found out that steering wheel of 2022 Brezza costs a mere 2400 rupees for the leather wrapped version. I don't know how Maruti is managing it, but we decided to order it on Boodmo since we weren't sure if it would fit.

Thankfully installation was simple standard affair, and my brother is loving the new upgrade. For someone looking for leather wrap on their simple wheels, this is an excellent option. Heck, most high end shops charge more than this amount for a simple wrap!

Ah, what an update! Not looking any further went straight to Boodmo to order the part right away, but as luck may be I had to keep a watch as there was alway backorder and no ready stock, finally the other day tried my luck and 4# showed up as available, wasted no time placed the order.

The steering arrived in 4 days flat. Time to install it.

First thought of doing it myself the DIY route, however soon realized I did not have the 17mm socket with extender. Did all the prep work and removed the airbag. Last pic before removal of the current steering.

Took to the nearby garage to get the steering fixed, was done under 10 mins flat.

Airbag removed from old Steering:

New steering:

and finally in its all glory

On of the quickest updates I have ever done, and oh boy the feeling to lay hands on this steering is a different experience all together.

Thanks LeoShashi for making my day!

This logic of platform may not work here, since going by that logic, even the new Brezza should be on Heartect then since it's steering fits perfectly on XL6.

While I am pretty sure it would fit the new Baleno, it is not something which can be 100% confirmed based on such assumptions. This is exactly why I order such doubtful components online so that it can be returned if things go wrong.

Shashi

If you are interested to giveaway the old steering wheel, I would like to experiment if the cruise control option can be enabled on the Ertiga.

Another excellent upgrade. By the way, I placed an order for the same on Boodmo myself and it was delivered yesterday.
I wasn't that confident to swap the wheel myself for fear of doing harm to the airbag module or so, hence went to the nearby MASS and they swapped it for me free of charge.

I also shared your post about this upgrade in the Kerala XL6 whatsapp group. And seems 4 members there have ordered it already.

Thank you so much Leoshashi.

Hello Shashi

Wanted to understand how is the car holding up after 2 years of usage. Know Maruti’s fit and finish, do you experience any vibrations, squeaks, noise in the interior parts like dash, seats, door pads, etc. please let us know. Thanks

Shashi’s car will not rattle or squeal ever. Mine does after 2.5 years especially the infotainment and dash. Other than that it’s holding up well.

The dashboard has horrible integration, specially the center trim and area around head unit. It is well documented how I took care of it in early days of ownership. Other than that, the car has held up well. Although my car has damping/sound insulation all around, even for a normal XL6 like the example owned by my brother, the cabin is holding up well. The dashboard is the only problematic area which needs attention.

Regards,
Shashi

Re: My first car: 2020 Maruti Suzuki XL6 Alpha MT Review

Thanks for the quick reply. For my 2022 new XL6, in the both free service, I asked the technician to check and repair the dash as I was hearing loose bolt/nut sounds. This was resolved and so far no other problems. Good to know that otherwise no issues.

Here’s some good news for those who’ve installed Sensairy TPMS and using Apple CarPlay.

The latest version of the Sensairy app (Ver 2.1) has Apple CarPlay support and so you can see the tyre pressure readings on the HU screen 😊

Here’s a pic from my car.
