I would suggest to replace the wipers after the service. Iam going to change to DynaEdge this weekend, wipers have gone bad right now. Why not give Hella DynaEdge a try, i know its a bit expensive (around 2000 for 2 blades). A friend of mine has them on his i20 and he claims they are really good.

Have used dynaedge, good blades but they don't offer significant advantage over normal Bosch wipers, which cost 320/- bucks compared to 1200-1300 for dynaedge, 2000 is on higher side, it should be under 1500 bucks.

Update- the engine check lamp flashed again today, was nearby the service centre, so took it there. They took in the car asked for 2 hours, said they need to scan the car.

Going home now, am promised the delivery of car by 3-30, let's see now.

Got the car back, they scanned the car, but couldn't find anything. Asked me to drive around and see if it comes again.

Thats weird. I would have assumed that the ECU would maintain some form of log that would show any errors that popped up. That would have helped to point out which sensor is causing the issue.

re: Review: 1st-gen Ford Figo (2010)

Did some 800kms over the weekend with a friend who owns a Santro. He had already decided on i20 as his next upgrade. He was blown by the ride quality of Figo, In fact he remarked that the he did not feel that he has been driven 800kms, he felt he made short hop to the town nearby.

He was amazed at the fuel efficiency since we did it with 180kms left in the DTE.

You mean 980 km to a Full tank? Man thats a great mileage..
I have never achieved that kinda mileage in my TDCI, the highest i achieved is 760, which itself is not achievable in my recent highway trips.

If full tank of fuel is filled to the brim/above the 45L capacity, DTE will show 900(if FE=20) only. Thus this 980 may include the excess fill.

i have got 1021 km(as per ODO) with fuel filled to the brim.

D_A. I did not mention 4 digits in DTE. 1021 is as per tripmeter for a full tank(
+brim fill).

The highest i have seen is 924 when the car was new, and 883 very recently after a long drive.

Mine never went above 700 mark, but then my most of the driving is on city and car is just around 1700 kms mark on odo.

My ride has been running in the city mostly and the mileage is bad for now. I get 510 -520 max on full tank as per the dte.

Arch-Angel, I used to get similar figures on my new car. I now have about 3700kms on the odo and DTE showed 681 on the last full tank refueling.
