Direct-To-Home television in India. Update DTH UHD (4K) now available

Yes the added HD channels on TSHD+ are awsome. I am facing some issues with the sound, getting a lof of disturbance and static noice. Is anyone facing this please?

sumathindra, you are absolutely right. The HD channels in Tata sky are awesome. I do hear the ocassional static noises in Star World HD as well. They should be resolving it soon hopefully.

I started with Hollow Man in Star Movies HD. WOW!

Thank you TataSky. Please add Star Sports HD too. (or F1 HD at least)

If they include Times Movies Now in HD and Star Sports in HD or atleast just the F1 races, it will be complete. I'll never need to see any SD channel apart from news channels. HD is so awesome.

Is the sound in HD much better? I don't have a home theatre and the volume for HD channels is lower than SD channels.

Not yet fully tested the sound, but Vid6639 you are correct the Sound is much lower of HD channels than the SD. I have it hooked up to the HT and there is a major difference.
I was watching StarMovies HD, the Longest Yard last night with the HT on and i was so pleased. It was like watching a DVD. The "issue"with HD channels is once you watch them and go back to SD everything is fuzzy

. Waiting for Movies now and hopefully HBO in HD.

Please check with the TS guys. On a mega package all new channels that get added are for free. Unless your pack is expiring or you have viewed more that the limited free viewings of the showcase movies.

The sound volume has increased with the new firmware update on TATA Sky. The UI is also better now.

Even i got those HD channels as I have the annual package but yesterday i had lots of issue with voice quality in those newly added HD channels specially with STAR Gold voice was extremely low and it was going frequently on and off.
This low level voice is more noticeable on Tata Sky HD not much in HD+.

how can i update the firmware of my Tata Sky HD?? Even i feel that volume of HD channels is slightly low.

To upgrade the f/w i guess you just need to turn the STB off and power it on again. I did that yesterday and i got a new menu system. Interesting part is i have HD and not a + system yet the screen shows Tata SKY +.
I did not notice the sound will need to check.

Oh Yes, my problem was different. It was an error message on screen due to parental control for UG & A programs. That time screen was showing advertisement of buying HD package for Rs 50 PM and asking password once I am out of menu completely. Now I am able to see all channels.

Yesterday even my HD box firmware updated and now its running the same version as what i am having in HD+ issues like low voice in HD channels etc sorted out and yesterday enjoined "Raajniti" in HD no ads just movie continuous, it rocking specially big screen 42" or above is highly recommended

yes i also got my firmware updated yesterday and it has indeed improved the sound on HD channels. I'm having no problems with the DD5.1 output (the audio is routed to the a/v receiver through coax cable). The quality is comparable to watching blu-ray movies and its an absolute blast to watch these channels. I just wish if more and more channels come out with the HD versions soon especially MTV, VH1 and sports channels etc.
