Same here. Wife has tiny hands and her 3 year old Oneplus 7T needs a replacement. Only one major requirement - the thing should be lightweight and ergonomic.

In the Android world, only a couple of phones come remotely close within 40k - the Moto Edge 30 and the Samsung S21 FE to an extent.

The Samsung S23 is an option but it is way out of budget.

I hope to see them someday.
Xiaomi 13 is launching in India this month and I am planning to buy the same because of it's compact size compared to other phones. I am using xiaomi 12 pro and don't have any issues at all.
Wife is using samsung s20 fe and samsung battery backup is not that great plus takes ages to charge. My 12 pro charges in 15 minutes from 20-100.

Both of you should consider Pixel 6a. It is an amazing Android phone. I have been using iPhones for 8 years and recently bought a Pixel 6a as a secondary device and I am quite happy with it. I also bought another one for my father's primary usage.

Once upon a time, 6 inch screen devices were called "phablets"

Even more than overall compactness, I want the wide aspect ratio. But it seems that that is a long-gone option.

Wished the Asus 8 to get a price cut, but it went out of stock itself.

I don't want to spend 40K upwards and the limited choices offered by Pixel and Apple are well beyond my budget. It is a pity that we do not get these phones at all.

I hope to see them someday.
It's well above 40k but the Zenfone 9 is amazing, if you can stretch for it.

It's not available in India.

What would be a good phone in the 15k category? Need to get one for my father.

Re: The Mobile Phone Thread - Queries, decisions, discussions all here

Seems like One Plus is getting back on track with their latest 11 series ! It was launched yesterday & a lot of the reviews are hinting it to be what the “original” One Plus was known for.

The prices start at 57k IIRC & though initially it may seem a tad bit high for a One Plus device primarily know for the “flagship killer” tag; these seem ok considering the current trend of the phone prices.

No major change on the design front apart from the rear camera housing.

One Plus also promises a 4 years software & 5 years update which is a welcome change.

Given their record over the last few years, I'd take launch reviews (and company promises) with a fistful of salt. Their ability to push out timely & acceptable updates - 'zero bugs' is unrealistic, even the big G & A can't manage those nowadays - is suspect, even to devices they deem worthy of support.

Some of their flagship devices from 2-3 years ago got Android 12 after Android 13 hit the market, and the package still functioned like a school project (no offence to school projects).

The most important factor for parents is an ad free and bloatware free experience. Google Pixels are ideal for that but you won't get one of those in your budget, so the next best option is Motorola.

If 5G is an important factor, then check out the Moto G71. If he can manage with 4G, then pick either the Moto G31 or the G52.

Make sure you buy the 6GB RAM variant so that the day to day experience is not spoilt due to lags and stutters.

Get the Moto G72 for him. A well-rounded product which ticks majority of the boxes, except for the 'not so powerful' chipset (Helios G99).

I recommend that.

I picked up Samsung Galaxy M13 5G for dad @ Rs. 12k
https://www.amazon.in/gp/product/B0B...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Interesting features:

- 5G connectivity with 11 bands (whatever that means)
- 90 Hz adaptive screen refresh rate (super-smooth scrolling)
- Automatic network switching (if network in Sim 1 is poor) for data or when initiating a new call.

Re: The Mobile Phone Thread - Queries, decisions, discussions all here

Guys, my wife wishes to get a new number meeting numerology. She visited Airtel gallery but all the numbers they have are re-used numbers. I had earlier bought one number which was used number and I had to receive whatsapp and calls from unknown people for quite some time.

Is there any other way to find out new series / unused numbers before buying. How are these websites on net that sell VIP numbers? Are they reliable?
