Re: Android Thread: Phones / Apps / Mods

Anyone here who's using an HTC one M7 and have already replaced the stock battery once from A.S.S or some other place?

I felt exaclty the same way about Lollipop UI. I have installed a 3rd party launcher to get rid of the white background. Feels much better now.

I also have Spice Android One device (used by my wife). Lollipop upgrade has made it slightly sluggish and battery performance also became worse. Things have improved after installing the second version of the upgrade.

I wonder why they call it an upgrade.

Re: Android Thread: Phones / Apps / Mods

Hi,
I have a Huawei B199 android phone, that I got from China last year. From the last few days, I see that the front camera option/icon is not showing up. I tried to restore the factory settings, but this did not help.

Anybody else facing such issue? Any help in this regard is appreciated.

Rgds

Using Nova on my Nexus too. In fact not just the visuals/UI improved, so did the performance. The stock Lollipop launcher further degrades the already pathetic performance. However, its not possible to get rid of the irritating white everywhere using just a launcher. :( Really wonder who a company like Google failed so spectacularly with Lollipop. Makes you wonder if its deliberate....

My S6 Edge got updated to 5.1.1.

I am yet to go through the change log. The first noticeable change is the increase in font size of the edge notifications.

Another change what I liked was the alphabetical sorting in app drawer which was missing earlier. The UI is more responsive than previous version.

Between using it since it's release. What a phone what a camera... Only grouse no lollipop. They released an 830 yesterday I believe. Do check that too. 530 is too good super fast doesn't heat much and no hangs till date.

Re: Android Thread: Phones / Apps / Mods

My Romoss Power bank's input slot has bent and I could not charge it.

Are these power banks repairable? I bought it in October and was serving me very well.

Also any recommendations for a new power bank >10000mah capacity if the current one is rendered useless.

The 10000mah One Plus power bank with lithium polymer battery is now back in stock in Amazon and you might want to grab one.

Take it to a phone repairing guy. The input port; is it a micro usb port? If yes then the port from some phone will match up for it.

Do check out the Xiaomi Mi power bank with 16000mAh. It's available on the Mi site.

Re: Android Thread: Phones / Apps / Mods

Is HTC Desire 816 4G compatible?

I was planning to switch to 4G airtel connection. The tariff rates are same I guess.
