Prefer stock android. And is OP6 going to be a 6 inch phone? Will prefer a 5.5 at max.

845 has improvement in gaming. Else very similar to 835. Daily use won't matter one bit. Except for having the newer model processor.

The Pixel 2 XL I have is on 835 and earlier G6 was 821 when 835 was out. You won't find any diff in usability between 835 and 845 as such.

Are you concerned about the size of the phone or just don't like big displays?

If the former, then overall size would not have changed much.

Which Custom Rom for the Xiaomi Mi5?

I've avoided trying out custom ROMs on this phone - most of the ROMs available seem to have some serious glitches.

I was thinking of trying Xiaomi.eu. Does everything work with this ROM?
Volte? GPS?

I had to downgrade to 8.1.2.0 Global Stable (MAAMIDI) when I found that the GPS was not functioning properly with the upgrades (from Xiaomi)

Any suggestions?

My wife's mi 4i has recently received miui 9 update and now, the phone has slowed down to a crawl. To contribute to the frustration, am not able to disable built in apps like newstand, play movies, etc and various miui apps. They seem to have disabled the disable option. Is there any way around this?

Oneplus 6 seems to be much improved compared to Oneplus 5T. Latest gen processor, notch, cameras; everything seems to be stepped up as per initial 'leaks'. Having said that, OP-5T cameras aren't really flagship grade, hence OP-6 feels like a big upgrade.

Sirocco hasn't really upped the game, compared to Nokia 8 of last year. Two issues here, 1 - Nokia 8 itself was a great phone, and 2- Sirocco doesn't get a chipset upgrade.

To cut it short, OP-6 trumps the Sirocco, given their current price points.

On the flip-side, Nokia 8 is retailing around 28.5 K nowadays. It's a mouthwatering deal, especially when we see that OP-5T is still retailing at 33 K. Nokia 8 trumps OP-5T for all practical purposes, leaving the 18:9 ratio craze aside.

Practically, none of these phones are substantially different from each other (for regular use), except for maybe their form factors and screen-sizes.

Disclaimer: I used Oneplus 3 since September 2016 till April, when it got stolen. I am looking a buy one of the last year's flagships at bargain during next week's summer sale on Amazon/Flipkart.

Guys, I have got notification for system updates for my Moto X4. Anyone else got this? How are the updates. As of now I don't have any issues with the phone, touchwood. If there is no significant improvement then I will skip this.

Pink? I have always had a blue background since I got the phone. For calls from/to second sim, there is an orange background.

In all the dual SIM phones that I have had, these colours are configurable - in case you didn't know.

Searching for a new phone to replace my 3 year old Moto g3 which is shutting down randomly at 10 - 20%. My budget is around 20k but can extend to 25-26k if needed.

Requirements in order of pref:
1. Has to have a good camera, since I can't carry my DSLR all the time.
2. Good clean audio from the audio jack, my car doesn't have Bluetooth and powerful output for aux would be a bonus.
3. Fast, snappy performance for at least 2 years.
4. Water resistance.
5. Updates for 2 years at least, till Android P - dont really want to play with custom ROMs, I have been using them in my moto for the past year, but most have a bug - camera or battery life or some other issue.

Any good 2017 flagship I could go for? My current shortlist is Samsung S7, Nokia 8/7 plus, Honor view 10/ 8 pro, Moto X4.

Nokia 8 - is the autofocus really that bad? Saw some samples in previous pages. Any feedback about the 7 plus' performance?
Samsung S7- does the phone start lagging after a year? Superb camera & display though.
Honor 8 pro/ View 10 - will it be upgraded beyond Oreo? Camera has been praised a lot. Not a fan of EMUI though
Any other options? Samsung A8/LG G6/Moto G6 plus/Redmi note 5 pro - any feedback from any of these

Go for Nokia 7 plus , it will also get Android P beta, very soon, as per the Google I/O event.
