re: The "NEW" Car Price Check Thread - Track Price Changes, Discounts, Offers & Deals

Hi guys,

I was wondering if anyone is aware of discounts on S cross 1.6 Alpha and what is the average ex showroom price?
I was being offered a 40k exchange bonus and a 10k corporate discount by my local nexa dealer(Guwahati) in Dec. But they did not have the color which I wanted so I waited. I got a call from the dealer yesterday saying that the color I wanted is available now but no exchange bonus.
Should I wait a few more days for better deals or are prices likely to go up as seen in various news articles.

Thanks.. I checked on carwale and it shows 3.3 Lakh. Hyundai guys told me that 2.70 Lakh is their offer but in their park and sale option I may get up to 3.00

I will try my luck again with these inputs.

meetbadri got insurance + 15K as deal. that is around 49K I guess

I guess exchange bonus is a gimmick. Essentially they evaluated 2.9 for my car but quoted it as 2.7 and passed 20K as offer. so I am really getting 20k

Thanks Again.

Keeping the exchange bonus aside, I want you think what are you gaining on the '2016' model, from a discount perspective? You might as well buy the '2017' version and am sure you'll manage a 10K+ price on the re-sale value 3-4 years down the line, compared to a 2016 version.

Is this a limited period offer, my understanding was that the prices were reduced in general by FCA across the entire Fiat range and they will stay in effect atleast for some time.

The link to the website says that its valid only till 31st Jan 2017 and only on select variants. FCA says it is their new year discount but it may be one of their numerous attempts to up their sales.

I do not think they were ever concerned about upping their sales
This is purely to clear inventory. And it is quite lame as well. Dealerships are usually ready to offer discounts close to 5 figures throughout the year.

Most of their sales, i believe (based on purchases I am aware of by colleagues and friends), are at Ex-showroom prices.

Just to be clear, could you provide me a break up like this post? Don't want to assume anything.

So you managed an additional 35K discount with the new dealership. That's good to know, but have you checked the VIN for the car yet? We have to know which month of manufacturing is the car available with them. I have a hunch this might be an older car than the one with first dealership and hence better discounts.

I'd suggest you to find this out before you finalise please. If you want to PM me, feel free to do so please. I know am asking for more of your time & effort before finalizing; that's because I want to ensure you have a better purchase experience. Hope that's ok with you.

What kind of discounts can i expect on the E250 Cdi knowing that the new model is around the corner.

Im also looking at the A6 matrix and getting a discount of about 3 Lacs from Audi Gurgaon. Os this good enough or is there space for more discount?

That's too low unless there are some changes recently, check with Karnal & Chandigarh dealerships. If you can stretch your budget, new E or even the upcoming 5 will be a newer generation so if you plan to keep longer, better wait.

Again, try Dealership at Mohali ( Punjab Motors)

re: The "NEW" Car Price Check Thread - Track Price Changes, Discounts, Offers & Deals

Land Rover is offering "Celebratory" prices on its Petrol Variants for Discovery Sport. The offer seems quite attractive - around Rs. 7 Lakhs off ex-showroom price. I presume this is applicable for the 2016 stock. Since this is the well equipped HSE variant, it seems to be a good package for around 60 Lakhs on-road.

DISCOVERY SPORT (HSE) Existing Ex-Showroom Price* : ₹ 56.50 Lakh

Celebratory Ex-Showroom Price* : ₹ 49.50 Lakh

The same variant with the same engine retails for USD 44,000 in the US (about Rs. 30 lakhs) so we are paying a premium of about 67%, slightly better than the 75-100% premium we usually end up paying.

The new 5 and E will are expected to cross 60 lacs OTR and that will be way beyond my budget.
However I am getting a great discount on the A6 petrol 35tfsi Premium. Im getting a discount of almost Rs.7 lacs from Audi Gurgaon so i might zero in on that. This variant misses out on the sunroof, navigation and comes with 17 inches alloys instead of 18 inchers on the technology variant but it comes with rest of the goodies like air suspension, full led lights, etc

The current E Class is also having discounts upto Rs 6-7 lacs but then again I dont want to spend 50 big ones for a car that will be replaced soon.
