It is the almost the same as fusion. My fusion has a rated boot size of of 337 ltrs. However, the layout may or may not be the same. In the pics that I have seen so far, the wheel arches seem to protrude prominently on the inside as compared to my fusion.

The Ecosport bkg has not begun and this is perhaps the dealer doing some collection without paying interest on his own account.

2, 6, 7, 8 --> Seem like features on the top of the line variant. I think the top end eocboost & mid-level diesel trim will probably end up costing the same. And neither of them will be less than 15lacs in all the probability unless Ford decides to forego some margins.

And seems like the ecoboost just might be a non-starter. I get a really nervous feeling for Ford now. Our masses hate to hear into technology lectures at sales counters. They have specific questions - mileage & price. Only if the car checks these 2, then they are keen to dig more. And so, to explain the virtures of ecoboost to swing any sales to the petrol motor will be a herculean task. Thankfully what works in the ecosports favour is its form - suv'ish! All this hoopla would have been a total dud on the fiesta.

I can't able to see the spec about curtain air bags.

Infact they are saying that diesel is an option

2. The delivery will be by either late FFeb or early Mar

In Hyderabad also dealers are taking unofficial booking.
Ford hasn't announced about any plan about start of official booking.

Are you sure about the Diesel automatic? This is the first time I'm hearing about it. If it's true, this will definitely smoke the competition!

This is what I hear from a Ford personnel only as per him, they have the transmission ready for Diesel as well, but it has to undergo somewhat long testing cycles.

It may be almost same. (but I doubt they do that) The whole reason they are coming with a under 4 M car to get tax benefit. with 1.5L engine they will not get the benefit.

In UK 1.0 L engine is priced 5% more than the 1.6L engine. In India because of 12% tax difference this extra will be nullified or will come down.

So I feel Ford will not a play a game to bring 1.5L petrol engine.

I had registered on the Ford India website inquiring about the Ecosport and got a call today from MPL Ford - the lady on the phone informed that launch will be in Jan-Feb 2012 and will give a call when the booking starts. No other info.
