Does anyone know on how do they fix the rear spoiler which is available as part of their official accessories.

Is it just stuck on top of the existing roof (which has all the possibility to dislodge over time/during high speed) or screwed in (for which I did not notice any mounting points) ?

Perhaps this is why space after folding two rows is lesser than that of Ertiga: the captain seats don't fold flat. Upside is that one can tip toe to third seat without folding either of the second seats

Rear spoiler is fixed by drilling 2 holes and then by nut-bolt.

Here is a video which I came across, it shows a decent comparison between the Ertiga and XL6, shall answer many questions too IMO. One thing for sure, the black interior of XL-6 definitely looks a class above and more premium:

From all I have seen and understood, XL-6 is a wonderful proposition and is VFM too looking at the offerings from the competitors. If one looks at the price of likes of Venue, the XL-6 is definitely worth the buck. If nothing else, at least it will offer the best in class passenger comfort.

are you sure, this is an OEMs fitment and not an aftermarket.

There is no mounting points for clamping and drilling holes like this can cause rusting, rattling and unstable spoiler, not to mention spoiling the paint and metal body.

Anyone with Oem spolier?

I have OEM spoiler on my S-Cross. (4 years.) It also got fixed by drilling 2 holes.
The spoiler comes in default primer paint. It gets painted as per the vehicle and gets fixed. The holes made on the car (gets primer application after drilling) will not create any practical problems during the normal life cycle.

Saw a brown XL6 on the road yesterday and oh my god, the cladding looks much worse in real life than in pictures. Can't imagine myself in one ever!

It's 2019 and the largest carmaker still has only one AT which is an antique 4 speed TC! But hey, who cares!! We are Maruti and we will soon come with new stickered editions of all vehicles to counter the falling sales.

Going by the price and features XL6 would definitely cannibalize the sales of Scross. I am afraid if maruti would eventually pull the plug and pose XL6 as its successor.

This is how OEM spoiler installation is done at various Maruti dealers. The spoiler installation SOP provided with the part is conveniently disregarded and jugaad takes over. If you do not see any mounting points on the new Ertiga/XL6 then this is how it will be done unless you can make them follow the instructions.

After this incident I have always advised friends against installing MGA spoiler by the dealer because of how they do a halfassed job.

2 Air Bags and puny tyres in a people mover is lack of disregard for passenger safety. I don't understand how this makes for a premium offering! For what it's worth I think it is a Innova competition on a budget and I guess that is all it takes to lure the buyers.

Suzuki Ertiga Sports with 17" Alloys and low profile tyres. Only if #marutisuzuki could learn from their Thailand counterparts.
