Try Fuelio app. It's available in play store and it's decent enough with all required heads for various expenses related to automobiles. I've been using it for about 4 -5 years now.

Car

Hyundai Creta Petrol SX+ Manual 2017

Odo - 38450kms

I have not done exclusive highway runs but it's always a mixture of 60-40 highway - city. Overall/ Avg fuel efficiency noticed is 13.31 kmpl. (tankful to tankful method via Fuelio App). Best FE - 16 kmpl and worst FE - 10.6kmpl.

ACC set to 24 degrees always. Tyre pressure 33 psi all around. Usual load is 2 adults and a kid with trunk full of luggage.

Scooter

Honda Activa 125 STD 2016

Odo - 44485 kms

Used for work commute. Almost exclusively for city rides. Average fuel efficiency noticed is 48.5 kmpl. Best FE given is 57.6 kmpl and worst FE recorded is 37.7 kmpl.

Tyre pressure is 22-33 front- back. Mostly solo rides.

Re: What is your Actual Fuel Efficiency?

My Ford Aspire Diesel is returning 21 kmpl in daily drives from Faridabad-Noida & back route. My driving style is more sort of pedal to metal as I have a fair idea of traffic jam/ choke & speed camera points enroute (mornings via Kalindi Kunj & evenings via Ashram).

On a tank full, the car runs 750 kms, which can easily increase of I don't rush & maybe spend 10-15 peaceful minutes on road than reaching office/ home early.

Re: What is your Actual Fuel Efficiency?

I have been doing some high way driving for the last 2,3 weeks. Earlier I used to get 14-15kmpl on highway on my 2018 i20 elite magna executive. As said in earlier post I restricted myself to 80-85kph top speed and got 21kmpl (mdi was showing 23. kmpl) in my Bangalore - Jadcherla - Nalgonda drive.
After that I did 3 drives after filling tank again (till the auto stopper - not full tank) (Nalgonda - Miryalaguda, Nalgonda - HanumaKonda and Nalgonda-Hyderabad all to and fro) for a total of 700+ Km and there are still 2 bars of fuel left. If I fill after reaching 1 bar, I generally fill 34-35 liters till the auto stopper. I know it is not error proof but over longer distance and multiple fills, the range should be within low margin of error.
I Kept my top speed at 90KMPH in all these drives. I think I will get around 21-22kmpl again. From these I can say that as long as we restrict our top speed good fuel economy is easy. (15 kmpl to 20kmpl difference is huge).

Re: What is your Actual Fuel Efficiency?

My City AT (2012) gives me a decent 8 kmpl in Bangalore's traffic (pre-pandemic as it has been 2+ years I have been to office). I drove to Chennai 2 times in Jan/Feb and on the highway it delivered 15.5 kmpl. I am a sedate driver and maintain 100 kph on highways touching 120 kph on down slopes.

Rohan

Continuing the fuel log of my 5th Gen Honda City ZX CVT. Recently completed a 475km trip - 60% highway and 40% city with bumper to bumper traffic. 4 adults + 1 kid + AC ON 100% of the time + boot full to the brim. 90kmph. 15.5kmpl. Tankful to tankful.

Re: What is your Actual Fuel Efficiency?

For the first time I used the full tank to full tank (auto cutoff) method to measure the actual fuel economy on my 2015 Ford Aspire petrol automatic. I got 9.62 Kmpl in Mumbai traffic. MID showed 10.0 kmpl which is pretty close. On highway drives the MID shows 15-16 and it gets better the more I drive on highways at a constant speed.

Re: What is your Actual Fuel Efficiency?

Maruti cars are super efficient that's why I love them.

Just finished Panchgani Mahabaleshwar trip from Pune. Got 20 kmpl with light foot including 80% AC. It also includes hilly region drive.
Car - Ertiga Zxi+ 2021 Model

Super happy with mileage as petrol prices are rocket high.

Re: What is your Actual Fuel Efficiency?

Anyone has feedback on Seltos Petrol DCT's fuel efficiency? Mine is 2 months old car and has hardly crossed 1200 km mark. Recently, I observed that the car is giving an average of lower single digits. I have asked my driver to change the driving style. Additionally, have also asked him to drive using eco mode to see if there is any tangible difference to the fuel economy.

Re: What is your Actual Fuel Efficiency?

Just wanted to update the fuel efficiency of my Nissan Kicks Diesel over the 1800kms odd road trip. During this trip to Jodhpur and Jaisalmer I came across some brilliant roads and couldn’t keep the speed below 100 kmph. As a result, the fuel efficiency took a slight hit. During such trips, I used to get around 20kmpl. However, this time I got 17.8 kmpl along with loads of fun factor
I don’t think I will be able to extract fuel efficiency of 20kmpl or more now that I am addicted to its on tap power.

Once you get feel of it, you feel bored to achieve 20+ mileage. I never got it. most of my trips are Blr-Hyd with Renault Captur (same as kicks) and get around 17 with speeds of 100-120 where possible

I have an upcoming trip of 1100 kms and I have mentally prepared myself for FE of 17-17.5 kmpl

Re: What is your Actual Fuel Efficiency?

Car - WagonR 2017 vxi
Engine - K10B 997 cc
Method - Tankful to Tankful. Auto cutoff at the same vending machine.
Distance covered - 296 kms.
Fuel consumed - 12.78 litres.
Total Passenger weight + luggage weight = 195 kg.
Speeds maintained - 70 on the speedo , often going upto 80 kmph.
Type of Roads - Mostly National Highway 90% +10% city
Actual time taken - 2 hours 20 minutes to cover approx 145 kms.
Fuel efficiency = 23.16 kmpl
Cost per km = 4.11 per km.

Tried to keep a light foot throughout the journey.

Freshly serviced car.

New tyres with Firestone 155/80 r13 rubber.

Not sure if there is some error in auto cutoff at vending machine.

Earlier best fuel efficiency achieved on the same car was about 22 kmpl.

Love the K10B engine. The national fuel saving engine of India.Gets the job done without any fuss.

.
22 to 24 kmpl is very feasible with speeds between 70 to 80. AC would reduce this by about 19%.
Unfortunately, it's extremely difficult to maintain such speeds unless you are doing a fuel efficiency run. On a less trafficked 4 lane, speeds generally creep up to 90/100 and at this speed one would get approx 20 kmpl with AC.
Auto cut off is generally quite repeatable as far as quantity of fuel filled is concerned.
I've found more than car payload, prevailing wind speed and direction makes a lot of difference to FE.

That's actually pretty good mileage. While the engine is frugal as it is, the CVT helps a lot. A trait of the CVT. And it's not that bad to drive at all which is a popular argument against it.
It's unfortunate that MS instead of improving their CVT just abandoned ship and went to vastly inferior AMT for the Baleno.

Re: What is your Actual Fuel Efficiency?

F10D 2010 Wagon R BS3
Recent 100% highway Run.
550 kms are excellent highway run.
50 kms are pathetic village road(literally 2nd/3rd gear).
speeds maintained = 75-85 true speed (GPS), NON AC
Mileage extracted = 19 kmpl.
