re: The reversing camera & parking sensor thread

I have the Parkpro from Autocop with 4 sensors on my Manza, the IVRM which is a clipon over the original one is bigger and wider so that also helps while driving. I start the process via the traditional way of looking in the rear view mirrors and then use the parkpro to get accurate distance.

Yes, you should reverse slowly so as to allow the sensors to recalibrate the distances. 0.3m is the ideal stopping distance. It has been serving me properly since the past month. It will detect any object thats got a height of more than 10", this height is a non issue for the Manza as the lower part of the bumper will be safe in the event of a pavement thats lower than 10". It also good as any moron who passes by the car when reversing there is a loud beep alert as that becomes the nearest object for the sensor for a moment

re: The reversing camera & parking sensor thread

I have the RPS of Xenos brand (4 sensors ) which costs about Rs.3400/=. But the IVRM which is a clipon over the original one vibrates and making a bit inconvenience while driving. Is there any way to stop this vibration or make it lesser?

re: The reversing camera & parking sensor thread

Do these clip-on mirrors come in day/night view? My OEM IRVM has day/night view and I do not want to lose this functionality.

Also, has anyone used a HU for i10 that comes with reverse parking camera?

Thanks.

re: The reversing camera & parking sensor thread

Just did an inquiry regarding RPS. The rates as told to me at Milan Subway, Mumbai are:
Autocop - 2900
Smarteye - 2000
Other local brands - 2300 - 2700
All of these are of 4 sensors, including fitting charges.
Are these charges reasonable? Which is the best brands available in the market? Are there any parking assistant systems with more number of sensors? Please help.

Even I had the same doubt regarding the day/night view...but these guys are claiming that the clip-on rear mirrors which come with the parking sensor kit is a high quality mirror which does not give any reflection. But I have to confirm this from someone who is already using this before I buy one.

re: The reversing camera & parking sensor thread

When I got reverse camera installed, the original internal rear view mirror was replaced with another one, with display on one side of the mirror (not just a clip-on). It has auto-dimming feature, meaning when there is bright light from behind, the mirror dims!

Go for Autocop if you are looking for Parking Sensors and not reverse camera and also if it fits within your budget. You can also try RedSoul.

Which car are you having ? Not all cars need a Reverse Camera, that's why ?

I have "Autoflame" parking sensor with a clip on mirror, I have not faced any issues with it. Check whether the clips on the mirror are loose or the rubber caps on the clips are missing.

I've 3T plus back sensor with human voice alerts installed in new Liva. Felt no need for camera.

i'll check the clips again to be double sure - but i don't think this is the culprit. I have seen this shaking clip on mirror on two other cars as well - and when inquired the owners about this, they have a genuine reply "you'll get used to it....." !!!

Does it show obstacles if they are placed on the sides? Can you please provide a clearer picture of the unit?

re: The reversing camera & parking sensor thread

I have a walking and talking parking aid, my wife.

Though I dont usually have problems in tight spaces with my Linea, when in doubt, I "very-very" politely and diplomatically ask my wife to step out and guide me and promise her some "incentives" in return.
