Re: Jopasu Car Duster - A mini review

I picked up the duster finally. Though I haven't used it yet, I guess this is the real deal.

In case anyone from B'lore want to purchase, google Ultimate Detailerz. It's a tiny detailing shop and they have lots of dusters at stock retailing at Rs.750. Thanks soumen.blore for informing about this,I wouldn't have known this place otherwise.

Re: Jopasu Car Duster - A mini review

I too got the fake Chinese Jopasu duster fro paytm last week.
Returned the same and got the refund. Must say the refund policy was simple and fast.
Here's the link to the FAKE duster -
https://paytm.com/shop/p/jopasu-car-...1035358226922E

It's out of stock now. LOL. Seems like the seller exhausted his stock of fake ones.

Ordered a Jopasu Duster and microfiber cloth from ebay for 680 bucks.
The microfiber cloth is 380 gsm and itself worth 200 bucks. So, the duster effectvely costs less than 500. Go for it!

Re: Jopasu Car Duster - A mini review

As our new car is supposed to be delivered in a fortnight,I thought that it was probably high time I ditch our ubiquitous feather-dusters and order one of these Jopasu Dusters which has been so highly praised in Team BHP time and time again. Was searching the online portals and suddenly stumbled upon this "Jopasu Car Care Large combo pack" from Amazon India. The product was an Amazon fulfilled one,and the seller was Jopasu itself(gauging from the name of the seller mentioned as Jopasucarcare).A discounted price of Rs.1200 for the day as opposed to the regular price of Rs.1359,and also a cash-on-delivery option, was quite tempting.Decided to finally take the plunge and place the order.

The shipping was fast, ordered on 4/11/2015 night, and package got delivered on 7/11/2015 noon to our Kolkata home, by standard delivery mode.

Now a special paragraph needs to be dedicated to the product packaging: The enveloping Amazon carton was literally huge and looked like some packaging for an indoor unit of a 1 ton AC machine!!Parents were decently surprised on receiving the package from the delivery guy, considering I had informed them that a package containing some mere 'Car-cleaning dusters' was on the way. Un-boxing the carton led to rummaging through seemingly a never ending pile of air-packs to find the original product packaging sitting at the bottom,1/5 the size of the outer carton.

Now to get back to the point, the combo pack contains One Large Duster,a Mini duster,a magic wipe[size-16" x 16"] & a set of 3 microfiber towels[12" X 12"] of different colours.Attaching the pictures below-

Will now wait to see how they work their 'magic' after arrival of our new beauty.

P.S.- I saw that the 'single duster' option available in Amazon was not sold by Jopasu itself, but by some other sellers and were not Amazon fulfilled products.Same goes for Flipkart.Snapdeal also lists Jopasu dusters from different sellers, but watch out for the "SD+" icon,as I noticed products directly sold by Jopasu got a SD+ rating.

I bought it from here last week:
http://www.amazon.in/gp/product/B00R...ilpage_o00_s00

Delivery was in 3 days; it arrived in a very lengthy pack that I thought they sent the wrong product. But the product was only half the pack and the rest was packaging material, excellent packaging done by Amazon guys. Product itself is very nice, and easy to use.

Re: Jopasu Car Duster - A mini review

I got my Jopasu in October last year. It served me well for one year but for the past one month, it is not picking up dust. So I washed it with plain water for the first time but there was no improvement.
I am now thinking of washing it once more with mild detergent. If that does not help, then it is probably time to order a new one.

Re: Jopasu Car Duster - A mini review

It gets hard to turn the duster's threads into its original color. Mine look blackish now but it is still working. Tried washing it with surf but not much change.

Washing it with a detergent would have stripped the wax coating from the threads. Your duster would have lost the dust sucking ability now. Never wash it with a detergent.

True! I think jopasu also sells some kind of wax rejuvenator for the duster. Don't know if anyone has tried it though. Can be useful in your case, I think.
