Re: Jopasu Car Duster - A mini review

Thanks.

Lesser quality or not, Jopasu dusters do not need rejuvinating in months: they should last a couple of years or so. So, I'm willing to try out the Roger (Rogering the car? oh-my-god! --- a joke that probably means something to a certain generation of Brits, although Google can still find the definition of the word as a verb) but I don't think I will need to for a while.

I also suspect that wax-impregnated cotton is the technology of the past, and that the thing of the future is our friend, microfibre. I already have one microfibre duster. It is cheaply and badly made, and required some epoxy work to fix the handle, but it seems effect both for dry dusting and for wet washing.

Keeping an eye on developments is hard, as the shopping sites only get more and more full of the same plastic-back/handle stuff, often cheaply made. If a branded product comes along, I wouldn't mind buying, if the branding means years-lasting quality, not just the same old thing with a name!

Re: Jopasu Car Duster - A mini review

I bought the Roger duster and mini duster last week after reading good reviews here. I already have a Jopasu duster and mini duster. Initial impression is that Roger is much broader and strands are much thicker than the Jopasu. The duster is also quite heavy. Using it for dusting the house interiors as I have the Jopasu for the car currently.

Dust picking ability is certainly very good, but since I haven't used on the car cannot directly compare with Jopasu, but I believe it should be just as good if not better. The order from Amazon was delivered in 2 days (22 Apr) even though it did not have Prime and the initial date mentioned was between 24 Apr to 2 May. Packaging is very good and comes with the liquid detergent for cleaning the duster and instruction sheet for usage and cleaning.

Also included is a small brochure of Roger products and one cd which I haven't checked but presume it is also regarding the products offered.

I will recommend to try out Roger in case one is not satisfied with Jopasu, only downer being it a bit heavier.

PS - Maybe time for a new thread on Roger duster or update the thread title.

Re: Jopasu Car Duster - A mini review

I also noticed a huge drop in quality. My latest duster bought 2 months ago already feels like it's giving up. It's requiring multiple sweeps to collect all the light dust. My 4 year old duster is doing a better job after rejuvenation than this one!

I saw the duster at MSM Chennai. My SA told me that the duster should be available at all MASS.

It's definitely not available online.

Re: Jopasu Car Duster - A mini review

Glad I checked here before ordering Jopasu. As per good reviews for Carster, took the plunge and ordered one from their website. Hope it is good as Jopasu. Fingers crossed.

Re: Jopasu Car Duster - A mini review

I want an unwaxed microfibre duster to use wet.

That's easy to find, like the one I have already. But I want one with a handle that doesn't break!

Interesting to read that it does not need washing. My Jopasu duster is very dirty, however, I also have a half filled bottle of rejeneuvator left...

Thanks for sharing this. I was looking to buy a new duster given my existing Jopasu is aging. Didn't want to go for Jopasu again since many members here have perceived the quality to be steadily declining. California claims to be the original duster. Decided to order one. Lightning deal + 15% cashback made it a sweet deal. Now only if the duster turns out to be reasonably good.

I've ordered one too, the smaller one as well. On my fifth Jopasu, quite curious to see how this one does.
