Re: My midlife crisis fix : 2022 Royal Enfield Interceptor 650

Congratulations on the new machine and wish you a speedy recovery.

Re the weight anxiety, I have a suggestion - practice pulling it up! I took my Himalayan to an open ground picked it up 3-4 times, with back to the seat, pulling the front tyre to get it aligned with the slope, etc. When the Dday came, this helped me breeze through the mini crisis! All the best

Congratulations! Get well soon and enjoy the miles ahead!

Don't worry about the weight (well, except when moving around with engine switched off ) Once you start moving, it handles sooo well! My better half is ~50 kgs and 5 feet tall, she rides it well and finds only the moving around difficult.

Here is our Blue! Ownership review coming up soon.

Is that the total cost including the tyres?
Some good mods on the bikes, I noticed from the pictures.

Looking at the cost online seems to be very expensive. For all I remember Timsun 150 profile is around 11K, so has to be only alloys cost. I think total setup with Timsun will cost around 34-35K.

Query: For people who are using rear 17" meteor alloys, any gear issues or issues with sprocket, read somewhere that it is causing some issues, though seems to be an one off comment so not sure.

The alloys look sweet and for the price it seems like a good deal compared to the cost of the Outex cello tape. What did you do with the stock wheels?

And that's an extensive and expensive set of mods you've done. All the best with the future mods, hope you document it on a separate thread.

Nice, good to know you can get them from RE for older bikes. You bike looks great by the way.

Re: Ridden: Royal Enfield Interceptor 650 & Continental GT 650 Twin

I have a query to all Interceptor owners, is it possible to fix the touring footpegs offered from RE on the Int 650 ? I spoke to the showroom personnel and he said it's not possible to fix on the Int 650 but it can be fixed on the Super meteor, any insights on the same would be appreciated.

Re: Ridden: Royal Enfield Interceptor 650 & Continental GT 650 Twin

Placed order for the alloys this week, there is no ETA for delivery but they are expecting it within one month. Service Center was saying that with Vredestein Tyres cost will be around 35K and approximate cost with Ceat Tyres will be around 28K. For now I just placed the order for alloys, will think later which tyres to go for.

Really???
This is nearly the cost of 5 tires of Yoko AE for SCross that lasts atleast 40K if driven insane. If 35K is the cost of 2 tires for RE that lasts no more than 15K if ridden sane, which is 10% cost of the motorcycle itself, it's totally unbelievable to me!! Ceat? Hopefully ASC quoted the tire price for 1 Interceptor & not multiple ones

Sorry if my message was not clear, it is including price of alloys, stand alone alloys are around 17K.

So Vredestein tyre will be around 17-18k for pair and Ceat tyre around 10-11K a pair.
