Everyday I sign in and check on this thread; in the hope that someone somewhere would have heard from his/her dealer about expedited delivery of the CBR OR that Honda has started the dispatch but no such luck. Guess Honda will stick to their Apr'11 schedule. I booked mine on the 1st of Jan (was at the showroom even before it opened) with wishful thinking that Honda will aim to deliver before Apr'11 (Apr being their safest best). Am still counting days.

Am I the only one getting that sinking feeling or there are many more like me? can't wait to get my hands around this beauty.

Interestingly, lots of reviews have popped up on the web and most of them have rated CBR high over Ninja (what with in some countries Ninja is still sold in its carb format); this time and age FI is the min one expects. Guess this one will sell like hotcakes.

Came across in Zigwheels today that Honda has received 1800 bookings in one month for the CBR250R!

you are not alone!! just cant wait for the launch. of course, I am yet to book one. just cant book a vehicle before seeing it in the flesh!

Silicon Honda from Bangalore said the same thing too. When I enquired about the possibility of a test ride, the salesman gave me a cold stare as though to say "do you think a test ride will make you change your mind?"

I see a price cut for the ninja 250 on the horizon ie if they want to sell any bikes.

3L for a 250cc ! You get a 900cc Harley for a couple of lackhs more ! People will start to realize what a rippoff the ninja 250 is at the current price soon enough. It is a very good bike no doubt but it was the only 250cc till now and that is going to change .

The attitude of the HONDA folks will change fast when the competition from Suzuki and Yamaha arrive and it will sooner than later.

AT the right price!

BAJAJ will be stunned seeing the bookings for CBR250! They had real big chance to go the CKD route with Ninja 250.

But then, they have the chance to pounce back with KTM 200! Finally, things are getting hot in the motorcycling scene!

but the fact remains that KTM does not have a 200 CC engine in its entire range.The model being spied in many pics is internationally shown as the KTM125.

Now it remains to be seen that will Bajaj just plonk in the Pulsar 200's motor into the KTM chassis?
It will be a good cost cutting measure for Bajaj which they are known for.
But it will spell bad news for the true enthusiasts as they would feel short changed.

Development of a new 200CC engine by KTM seems too dicey at this point.

yes ninja is CKD , but Bajaj is greedy to milk Indian customers and not to offer it at lower prices ,even when they source it from Thailand .

With CBR250 coming , they are rumors that it will be bought down to 2 lakhs . Competition

Yes certainly. I'm looking forward to buy a bike by the next year and the way the market for quater litre bikes is shaping up, I just can't stop grinning. Waiting for the CBR250, FZ250 and KTM200.

That would be amazing if it happens. At present bajaj doesn't seem to be too interested in cutting the prices by a huge margin

Hi all,

First good news since I booked. I got a call from my dealer a little while ago checking on my booking and address etc. The lady said that Honda has asked for buyer's addresses to be verified. On checking when will the deliveries start, she said that since yours is the first booking, you will get the delivery in the first lot, deliveries for which are expected to start from first week of April. I asked her what if someone books today, she said those will fall in the second lot which will be sometime mid/end May'11.

I asked how many bookings have they done, she said we have done approx 20+ bookings till date. Wow, that's actually quite a number since there are quite a few dealers in south delhi. This one is at one extreme end near Faridabad and not exactly in middle of south delhi.

So fingers crossed and hopefully will have my hands around this beauty soon . Gear shopping next on the list.

there were rumours that the race color theme (red with blue and white) won't be offered here in India and only the Red+Silver and the All-Black colors would be available. @anyone who has booked as of now, any confirmation on the color availability? Also is there difference in delivery dates depending on colors? I remember when I booked the all black pulsar 220, I had to wait additional 2-3 weeks because of the demand for that color
