I only got the front two rows covered and left the third one as its seldom occupied. They had a standard package for xuv which was Rs.7050 after taxes. I had to ask the manager for discounts. He brought it down to Rs 6500 and on further probing, he called up his boss and gave me Rs.6200 as the best possible price. You must have got the third row done too, I suppose.

Yes I got the 3rd row done as well along with an extension till the place where the foot is placed while climbing, hence that cost.

Can anybody here throw some light on paint sealant treatment and paint protection film?.
Which kind of treatment would suit a new xuv with opulent purple colour?

Paint protection film is a clear wrap/film put on the car to protect from scratches. It is a protective film which is transparent. It's quite expensive and cannot be used over entire car. It will be close to one lakh if you want to wrap the car with paint protection film (PPF).

Paint sealant is 3M terminology for rubbing, polishing and then applying a coat of sealant that is like wax. This will result in removal of small swirls/scratches and get the car to shine. Life will be 6-8 months depending on how you maintain it.

As vid said paint sealant is coating applied on the paint using 3M products. IMO it is better to get the paint sealant done after 6 months of ownership. For now you can just go for UV treatment, which was done on my car as well.

And on paint protection film, it will cost a bomb for the entire car. Go with it for front and rear bumper, door edges and bonnet.

3M paint sealant works fine and costs around Rs.5500 for XUV. Although I am being offered a Wurth treatment package by my dealer which includes exterior sealant by wurth, under body rust protection, silencer coating and engine protection, all for a discounted price of Rs.8500. Also I will be given free checkups twice in a year. The deal sounds quite good to me.
Correction: 3M's manager was Mr. Yogender. And not kuldeep.

I was given a quote of 6000 for paint sealant. Not 3M i guess. There was this other package called nano coating for 15K, which is claimed to give 2 years of protection and a thickness of 9H or something.

Can you please explain what UV treatment does and the cost involved?

Making it without hole would not be a big problem but it would have created 2 separate parts , one for W10 and another for other for key variants.

Re: 2015 Mahindra XUV500 Facelift : Official Review

Hi Guys

Got deliver of my Black W8 FWD "Monster" this Wednesday. Name given by my wife. I like the sound of it. A big thank to all the bhpians for all the information and support.

Got the following things done : -
- 3M film on all glasses
- 3M floor matts

I was planning to get the following done : -
- 3M antirust treatment
- 3M paint sealant treatment - Fusionbang - why do you suggest waiting for 6 months? As the 3M guy insists on getting it done when the car is new? I am not sure either of getting this done.
- Changing the horns to Hella red grill

Attached a pic of the Monster

Congratulations Amarjeetphukan for BLACK BEAST. Post some more images of your vehicle. I like the the black color most in XUV and i think it is the first New age BLACK XUV500 among the BHPians.

Thanks a lot Fusionbang

Ok guys, need some advice on this incident:
My music system was on when the car was running suddenly it decided to go off!(entire infotainment display was off except the reverse camera) and it would never turn on, even after me re-starting the car(engine) multiple times. Switched off the car and after an hour i turned the IGNITION on and then i pressed the clutch and turned on the engine and the music resumed including the display with "Mahindra rise". This happened 4 more times in the same day!
