I think you should definitely go for a visit to service station, because the mileage you have mentioned for highway drives are even less than the standard city mileage of 1.3. If your odo reading is somewhat nearing service intervals, then better have the service done. To me it's mostly issue with air filter and oil filter. The mileage will reduce a little with load. I mostly do sedate highway drives and easily fetch 24-25 easily no matter whatever is the load. But, during last couple of weeks I have done couple of pretty long drives including one to Munnar and all these were not relaxed rides. With 5 people on board and boot full of luggage, doing speeds averaging 100+ and including lots of ghat sections, the worst I could manage was 21 kmpl.

First of all how old is the car? How many kms done?

During the last fuel filling, did you reset the Average FE meter?

My dad's Ertiga want giving us more than 16.3 kmpl come what may but I have seen here on forum BHPian's getting close to 18.6 kmpl. I was wondering what could be wrong then for 2 days and 250 kms I took the car for my home office home shuttle, I got 17.9 kmpl.

All I did was reset the Average FE after I got the full tank filled.

I think a lot depends on the driving style as well. In the last two months I have done a few highway trips. I noticed that if I am cruising at around 80-100 around 2000 rpm the mileage is always 21+ but on trips where I have pushed the car and constantly driven around 3000 RPM the mileage drops to around 17.5. All these trips were done with five people on board with luggage to add and AC on at all times. (The way the car pulls is so much fun, its very difficult to keep it at 2000 RPM all the time. I would rather sacrifice the mileage for the pleasure of driving )

Exactly my question. I checked out AliExpress and they have these chrome ones. Looks overdone.

Re: Maruti S-Cross : Official Review

This is my first post after I got my S-Cross 1.3 about 3 weeks back. 700km on the odo and about 15.6 as seen on screen. When I top up later in the eve will have correct numbers.
Have touched 100kmph for few seconds but mostly not more than 80kmph.
Found a link today for S-Cross owners
http://m.thehindubusinessline.com/co...cle8500098.ece

Thanks to members who helped me with answers for this buy, but I can say for sure that I do miss my 2008 Swift VDI

To be honest I like the Indian version over this for my urban blue Scross.don't know why people hate Indian version.those big chrome highlights surely gives it some muscular look.may be only blue looks good with it

Re: Maruti S-Cross : Official Review

Gods showered their love and blessing on my S-Cross.

This happened when I had parked my car in the parking of a theater in Pune. The car was parked under a tree, which was loaded with flowers. My kid's expressions were priceless.

Those flowers under hot sun leave some dirty marks/stain on your white car. Give it a thorough shampoo wash.

Completed second free inspection at 4950 kms. Took 70 days to reach the mark.
No major complaints reported. Re iterated the mild vibration in steering at 1500 rmp and got the same assurance that it will be reported to Maruti.
Apart for a firmware upgrade to the stereo there were no additional activities.

Car feels a lot smoother now. May be just 'after the service' feeling
