| ![]() After reading through TBHP official reviews and many other reviews have finally booked Seltos HTX+ D MT. I have a few queries, 1. Have read a lot of negative reviews online about the OEM Goodyear Assurance tires. Is there any solution provided by KIA for this or should I consider swapping the tires. 2. If I plan to swap, which tires should I go for? I have shortlisted ContiCrossContact LX 2 and Yokohoma Earth-1, which is the best amount these 2 or please suggest any other brand/model. (Not a fan of Michelin, had very bad experience in my previous car) 3. What price can I expect for the OEM Goodyear Assurance tires? 4. Is there any separate process to do the KYC for the e-sim for UVO? 5. Any other pointers I should look for apart for PDI? 6. Is damping of doors and subwoofer area really necessary and if done will this void the warranty? Regards Vijay |

| ![]() Yes, please get rid of Goodyear Assurance tyres even if you have to do so for free. These are very poor tyres. I used to have Goodyear GT3 tyres and they used to last around 45k for me and I was satisfied with their performance. I went for Goodyear Assurance tyres last time at 1 lac km and they got worn out at 1.25 lac Kms. More importantly, my car wasnt that puncture prone with GT3. These Assurance tyres left me stranded at least 4 times on road (due to puncture) and had more than a dozen punctures. Recently, I went for Yokohama Earth-1 and though they are decent, they lack the grip to some extent. If you are on a budget, go for Earth-1. Else check for some good Michelin tyres like XM2. Check tyre reviews on Team-BHP to decide as per your budget. Congratulations! Wishing you countless happy miles with your Seltos. Edit- Avoid damping your new car. Drive it for few weeks/months and then decide whether you want to get it damped or not. Damping a new car is only recommended if one is getting an audio upgrade. A thorough PDI is all you need to do before paying full money. Also, do not pay full amount till your car reaches the dealership and you have done a PDI. There is no separate kyc process as faras I know. Owners can comment better. Last edited by PaddleShifter : 10th October 2020 at 22:26. |

In my opinion they are not as bad as internet/forums claim them. I have done about 7K km and not faced any signifant issues which would make them change asap. I recently drove the car from Mumbai to Rajasthan around 2.5K km round trip and did not face issues. Not a single puncture till date. Quote:

Its also a smart system sound system. Switch on the parkign sensors and ask someone to walk around the car, beeps will be played from the location of the person. Navigation prompts are played from the front speakers while music continues to play with back speakers. Now isnt that neat! | |||

BHPian | ![]() Newbie to this forum! A month ago,I had taken a test drive of Seltos Diesel MT,which we are considering as the replacement for our 9+ years old Innova. My first impressions after driving the Seltos was: 1.Engine felt refined!Well that’s Hyundai and Kia’s trait when it comes to refinement in Diesel engines 2.Its quite easy and punchy to drive in the city. Not sure about highway performance as I drove within 5 kms of distance in city 3.Features are good in HTX+,which is the top version of Seltos Diesel MT but it misses GT line version in manual, which Sonet offers now 4.The clutch was butter smooth, which I felt more better than our own Honda City iDTEC and Innova though I’ve driven Creta Diesel MT,which is also smooth albeit it’s the old version which I’d driven 5.That steering feel.I liked it’s driving dynamics and loved it’s steering feel too 6.Rear seat space is quite ok but not in the leagues of Creta,Innova and City!I’ll prefer Creta when it comes to seating comfort 7.Looks!I still prefer the looks of Seltos over Creta, which I felt bling compared to Seltos Overall,I liked the Seltos for its easy to drive nature, steering feel ,engine refinement and looks. But confused whether we should purchase MT version or AT version. And,recently, one of my friends had purchased Seltos HTX 1.5 Petrol in white colour for ₹16.3L including accessories and extended warranty. And,in our locality, there are 2 Seltos in white and red colour in which the white one is GTX+ DCT while the red one is HTK+ Diesel AT. |

Ugh! What were the folks at Kia smoking while approving such Maruthi type special edition? Everything except those alloys look horrible IMHO. Those orange inserts around the fog lamps and on the rear bumper are downright ugly. This special edition has just spoilt the clean looks of the Seltos. |

| ![]() They definitely took inspiration from their own X-Line concept but have gone horribly wrong with cheap tweaks. Looks overdone in my humble opinion. They could have directly used the X-Line concept parts. |

| ![]() "I've upgraded my Seltos tyres to Michelin Primacy4 235/55/R 17 - Speed Index W( max speed 270 kmph)." I'm getting my HTX delivered this month end.Can you tell me where do I get Michelin in Bangalore? How much they exchange for Stock/brand new OEM tyres? Does online platform like tyremarket.com deliver quality tyres? |

| ![]() Seeking your advise, please.... I gave my Kia Seltos GTX DCT today for the 3rd service (free). I was offered the "My Convenience" Service Maintenance Package at about Rs.28,500 for 5 years. Is it worth going for this? Kindly advise. |

Go to Madhus Tyres (outlets at Wilson Garden and Langford Road), owned by D-BHPian Nikhil. It is a well recommended tyre outlet in Bangalore and are authorised dealers for Michelin. They will give you a good price with great service, especially since you are a BHPian. As for the exchange price, please speak directly at Madhus, and they will let you know how much they would give for your tires (depends on how much they have been used at the time of changing them). Good luck with your new car delivery! Last edited by arindambasu13 : 14th October 2020 at 11:01. |
