Looks very good. I saw 2 arrive today at my dealership and they looked excellent.

Completed 1500 km's today and it has become a daily runner for everything I do. I am extremely surprised I have switched so easily.

Sorry, I haven't seen the Copper. Neither the Rocky Beige. The latter should look great in person if the shade on the first gen is anything to go by.

The most I have seen is Red over here, followed by Black.

Re: Mahindra Thar : Official Review

Received these images, and more, in a whatsapp group.

Complete underbody protection is good for people interested in the rough. Tray on rear door is also a use able and good mod. Bar on front bumper also looks good.

I do not understand the use of the mods on the spare wheels and the bonnet, please shed some light on these.

Pretty useless review actually. I was in fact waiting for this review from EVO. They tested on the best roads in India and did not actually give a 'real' review of the long distance/highway/on-road behaviour of the Thar. Bit disappointed. Nothing more than a typical Thar advertisement.

Really? Are you serious? A BHPian has reported a leaking hardtop roof, and the dealer has put some sealant to correct the problem.

For all you know, M&M could have assigned some local juggard to fix the hardtop at the factory.

I would never recommend this adventure, you are taking about.

Yeah, I am, with my foot down I AM.

A Jeep without a soft top or now with the convertible top makes little sense to me.

Jeep with top down is unadulterated fun, that's the reason I'm split between the LX and AX Optional variants, looking for a petrol manual which sadly is not offered in the LX trim and with a mere 60K difference between the two, there is a lot to lose on the AX, thanks to being in the NCR not looking at diesel as an option, else LX Diesel manual would be it.

With no offense to anyone, Jeep with hard top looks too caged to me and dilutes the essence of owning a Jeep.

Why do you coin it as an adventure? There are discussions doing rounds of the hard top being removed at the dealership and if you have space to keep it, why not, whenever you want to take it off.

I'm well read on the leaking issue, I guess you would want to run through the pages on the forum to get an insight on what I'm talking about.

Bonnet - axe holder
Spare wheel - number plate

The mod job looks pretty good !! The front bumper seems to have removable edges. I wonder where will they mount the license plate.

Any idea on the pricing?

Re: Mahindra Thar : Official Review

This could be the reason why delivery periods are difficult to predict. The ripple effect is going impact volumes and unit prices from all suppliers, eventually affecting the price of the vehicle.

With so many 3rd party accessories coming up, its just a matter of time before easily removable Wrangler style roof panels will be available in the market for the Thar. It will be a lot more convenient that way.

Eagerly waiting to see the long wheelbase 5 door Thar roll out as well
