Whichever occurs earlier.

1300 km on the odo is good enough to open her up. I've driven mine at 90-100 km/h right from 700-750 km on the odo. Just do not rev the engine unnecessarily beyond 2.5K rpm for another 1000 km or so.

Hi, most of my friends who own a petrol Thar have given similar FE numbers. So, you are in the normal curve for the mileage numbers.

Anyone who wants to buy the Petrol (or diesel) Thar, DONT.
It will keep looking at you like a small puppy and all you would want to do is feed it and take it for a walk.

Before I knew it, my odo is at 2600 kms. Considering I got it home on 25th October and didn't get a chance to drive it for almost a week, and then another 2 days when I was out of town, I just can't stay away from it.

Have driven it to Delhi/Gurgaon thrice, countless times towards Mussoorie, Maldevta, all around Doon
At one time the avg fuel economy had gone to 12.1 but with me getting more confident and pushing it a bit combined with driving in hills and traffic, it's showing about 11, which isn't bad at all.

I love the way it drives, as of now I wouldn't change a thing. Drinks like a fish, the wallet is way lighter than before but the heart sings a tune I hadn't heard for years

Re: Mahindra Thar : Official Review

Hi,
Just an update on real world fuel efficiency figures of the mStallion mill after driving for 3000 kms;

City - 7-7.5
Highway - 10-11
80% City 20% Highway - 8-9
Country / Village roads - 8.5-9

Light to medium footed driving style - using a turbo petrol does that to you My Thar is mostly driven single handedly. This figures are derived from tank to tank method with tyre pressure at 30 PSI.

Would love to hear from other mStallion owners as well, thank you!

Guys, need your help regarding fuses. Need to know which type of fuses are used in Thar 2021? Wanted to place an order for add-a-fuse.

Check section 2.3.1 of the user manual, it has all the details.

I'll only know when I get it done, but if someone else for the call, please update

Needless to add, the proactivenesd of M&M in improving a jeep they sold me almost a year ago continues to pleasantly baffle me!
Hi Phoenix, Did you get it replaced? If its done, I hope its a 2 step locking system as you mentioned earlier.

Thanks

Yes, it's done - but it's not the two-step lock!

It's the same mechanism, just a little different/ robust...

Everytime I turn off the Thar, the MID reminds me in how many kms I haven't used the 4wd system, its like the car reminds you that you aren't going out and having fun.

Re: Mahindra Thar : Official Review

Guys, Any one is facing issue with a screeching noise while braking at times? This issue was there on my Thar from day one onwards. However, I feel its getting louder day by day. The sound is similar to the one when we engage hill decent control. I got it checked multiple times and the reason they give is sound is from ABS actuator. I still don't believe them as the sound is similar to some metal screeching and vibration is felt on brake pedal as well. It comes only once in a while and not always which baffles me more.

If any one is finding a solution for this issue (many in the forum has reported the same issue before) please do post the update here, will appreciate your support!

Thanks guys,

Highwaypatrol

I do get the noise occasionally along with vibrations on break pedal but it does not bother me. Mine is a Jul'21 manufactured D AT. I get somewhat similar noise but only during panic breaking situations in my Creta. Most likely it should be ABS at work.

It doesn't mention the type of fuse used. I want to know which type of fuse it is, Mini, Micro, Mini (Low Profile), which blade type it is?

Both types of Mini can be used. Low Profile one is the stock type though.

Re: Mahindra Thar : Official Review

Two quick questions.

What's the standard warranty on Thar (years and KMs)?

What's the extended warranty on Thar (years and KMs) and its price?
