Is this econ mode available in AX5 variant too? Also, what mileage are you getting on your AX5 diesel?

Add mine to the list - my delivery delays with them continue as mentioned in earlier posts and after getting dates after dates I still do not have my vehicle.

Anant Cars have consistently dropped the ball in providing me any kind of update from their end - you only get responses after chasers and escalations to Mahindra customer care.

Today was one of their promised dates again, and their sales rep has stopped responding to my msgs (can clearly see the read receipt on whatsapp) and their manager has stopped picking/returning my calls.

In fact, most people, especially YouTuber, in India seem to misunderstand the purpose of ADAS. Features like lane assist or lane departure prevention are NOT supposed to be used on a routine basis. It is NOT a self driving feature as most people seem to believe. That is why it requires the driver to hold the steering after a few seconds. It is meant as a safety feature where if the driver gets distracted or loses concentration, the system can warn or prevent lane departure. You are not supposed to deliberately rely on it. A lot of people proudly claim how they did a trip of several hundred kms and the car drove “by itself”. In fact it is much more cumbersome and dangerous to having to monitor the vehicle and then get a warning to hold the steering wheel every 30 seconds. Similarly, adaptive cruise control is a great feature to be used on relatively empty access controlled highways. It is not meant to be used on busy streets as you would be ultra nervous each time wondering if the vehicle would slow down and stop. The reliability of these features is not at 100% and if you keep misusing them, you are not only placing a lot of stress on yourself but you are setting yourself up for an accident.
I really wish the manufacturers would educate the people on the correct intended usage of such features.

I suggest you speak with their area sales manager. He sits in their Mysore road branch. Make a visit to their showroom if time permits.

This not-fit-for-Indian-conditions thing is not a post-Covid phenomenon. It was there always. I still very much remember:
- Kinetic Honda gearless scooters are not-fit-for-Indian-conditions
- Hero Honda CD100 4-stroke engines are not...(in fact, Ind-Suzuki even advertised against them)
- fuel injection is not...
- Radial bus tyres are not...
- AT cars are not...
- Air-conditioned trucks and JCBs are not...

Dear friend, by 2027 these same YouTumor folks will be giving cars without ADAS a review

Absolutely. In fact, such compromised cars are not...well, you know.

Re: Mahindra XUV700 Review

Finally, after waiting for 8 months, received call from Sales Manager from dealer about allotment of XUV700. It's AX7 Diesel Electric Blue colour without luxury pack. Car is expected to be in Bangalore this week. I wanted to go with necessary accessories from dealer. What is recommendation from BHPians? Should I consider anything apart from
1. Side steps
2. Back bumper
3. Mats

Thanks

Mahindra XUV700 Review-img_20220503_071448_bokeh__01.jpg

Finally, my Electric blue beasty.. AX5 P AT , a few accessories as 'requested' by the Mahindra dealer for immediate delivery. Tyres upgraded to 255/65 R17 Maxxis AT with TREEL tpms sensors at very nominal charges.

Still contemplating wether to go for any PPF or ceramic coating , or just save that money for now and invest in a good wrap, an year or so down the line once this shine fades away, both in the heart and otherwise

Next set of mods being planned:
* Auto fold mirrors
* Cruise control buttons
* Steering and arm rest wrap
* Android player, plug n Play
* Hella led bar
* Rear reflector lights & pillar lights.

Suggestions welcome

INR 4500 from mahindra dealer for the reverse camera. The resolution is pathetic though.

Regarding the cancellation policy, it depends on dealer. I booked at 4 different places in March/April and 3 of them gave me 100% refund, in writing.

Got my car from the fourth one luckily

Any fellow owners installed an airpurifier in their non L cars ??

Re: Mahindra XUV700 Review

Hello everyone. I have booked a Kia Seltos Petrol DCT. But it is delayed by 3 months now. We always wanted XUV 700, but were put off by the wait times. My question is, what is the actual wait time for AX7 petrol AT? Officially it's 96 weeks. But I see posts where it was delivered in 3 months flat. Is this true? If so will book one immediately. Also which dealership in Bangalore is recommended. I see lots of negative feedback for Anant.

Re: Mahindra XUV700 Review

It's been a month since I booked my XUV. I have heard nothing from the dealership or the sales guy who took the booking. On Mahindra's site, the status of booking is "Order Processed" under the Booking stub. Is this normal or something of concern? It's my first time buying a vehicle and that too a Mahindra, against everybody's advice of going with a Suzuki.

Here's to answer your query, depending on the varient and color, and a little push to the dealer, you can get your beast quite soon. Try for it atleast.

Any considerable difference in road noise after switching to AT tyres?

Please keep us posted once you get these mods installed, especially the cruise control one. I've seen a couple of videos where people have said to install them but no video shows actual usage.

As for suggestions, some of the popular ones like ambient lights by Cardi, front/rear diffuser by M-Tek, audio upgrade with damping seem worth it.

The actual wait times is at least a year but you can get lucky depending on the variant, color and number of people who booked at a particular dealership. You can increase your chances of getting it earlier by

1. Opting for an unpopular color (i.e. any color apart from midnight black or white). I reckon electric blue and red has the least demand.
2. Going for a petrol model in AX5 or below: Diesel & AX7 has the max amount of waiting due to more chips needed.
3. Book with multiple dealerships: Increases your chances of getting a cancelled delivery or even direct allotment.

Yes it's normal. My 7th Oct booking had status stuck on "Order Processed" for 5 months. It will only change after allotment of your car by Mahindra.

Depends on variant, color and location. But usually AX7 AT L variants and metros will have longer lead times. When checked with a few dealers in Mumbai/Pune. AX5 variants have the benefit of lesser lead times.

It is normal. Hope you got the booking receipt from the dealer. Keep following up with the sales ppl every now and then to make sure you get your car on the promised date ( or before). And its a good thing to not go with Maruti ( suzuki) unless you are only looking at "Kitna deti hai" ( my personal opinion)

Re: Mahindra XUV700 Review

After seeing shiven's post, I called the sales agent who made my booking that I want to cancel it. He made the excuse of "currently in the meeting" and hung up. Now he's not picking my call. Fixing to go to the dealership today itself and cancel the booking then and there itself.
