Re: 2022 Skoda Kodiaq Facelift Review | 2.0L Petrol DSG

All the information in media is a bit weird and unexpected that they do such a shabby job of publishing. Autocar mentioning that with DCC you can lower or raise the car by 15 mm and someone else mentioning Canton is only available in L&K. The only feature change for BS 6.2 is, addition of door edge protectors and second row foot rest under the front seats, both of which were missing in the BS 6 cars. The price hikes are basically input cost increase and hardly anything to do with BS 6.2 cars. The engines sold in India since 2022 January for Kodiaq, Tiguan and Q3, basically AWD setups with DQ381 boxes, were already RDE compliant and hence already BS 6.2 compliant. Skoda has used this trick to use emission standard upgrade as an opportunity to hike prices. If mechanicals are all same, why has the Sportline been hiked by 90K and L&K by 140K? SAVWIPL is a business and they made some business decisions, customers just have to deal with it. They cannot sell the Octavia and Superb with the same engines and gearboxes because they are not a direct fit unless they start offering both models with 4x4 (AWD). So they are putting all their eggs in one basket with the Kodiaq which will lead the way for their premium offering till Q1 2024, which is when they plan to release the next generation of Superb and Kodiaq. Octavia iV with 1.4 TSI Hybrid tech will come this year but it will be a niche market. Someone posted on another thread they are already arranging drives for customers in Delhi for the new Octavia RS iV. Further details awaited, but I am sure they have asked customers to be in embargo.

We do not have an official communication from Skoda yet on Kodiaq BS6.2 cars being E20 compliant or not. The inside of the petrol tank door does not show E20 though. It just says E5 & E10 compatible. No mention of E20 or beyond. Pic attached from my BS6.2 Kodiaq. This also shows the tyre pressure suggested for Kodiaq.

The INDIA 2.0 cars recently launched by Skoda - Kushaq & Slavia are E20 compliant and there is communication in media on those.

With more allocation happening for Kodiaq in India, Skoda might be testing these engines for E20 and hopefully come out with some communication soon.

This is really surprising, not the E20 sticker being absent, but the minimum Ron number is now 95 and recommended duel is 98! So in order to have the max performance from your car, Skoda is recommending XP100 / Power99.

They are already claiming an increased FE of about 4%. Guess that's because they have increased minimum octane rating to 95 - no mechanical engine improvement though.

It's a piece of mat that's kept on top of the 2nd row default foot mats provided with the car. Just google :- "Lounge Step Skoda" and it's the pics that comes in the first search. I did not feel any great use of this piece of mat.

Is there any clarity on the ethanol content in power95? I also saw they have started selling power100 similar to power99 now at a few outlets. So similar trajectory such as IOCL. We had noted that IOCL XP95 has 12% ethanol content.

Re: 2022 Skoda Kodiaq Facelift Review | 2.0L Petrol DSG

I need help with my Skoda Kodiaq 2 TSI.

1. I have driven 13700 Kms (In 8 months), and the virtual cockpit shows my 1st service is due in 1300 kms. I am in my hometown (Dhanbad - Jharkhand) and driving back to Bangalore, around 1900 kms from Dhanbad, so the question is, will there be any issues with the warranty if I drive my car more than 15000 kms after service is due?
The only reason is I don't trust Skoda Service Center in Dhanbad (based on my past experience) as they don't have all the equipment and trained professionals, and I want my first service to be done from where I bought my car.

2. I have iPhone 14 pro max, and it doesn't fit the wireless charger because of camera. Are there any recommendations on accessories that I can use to mitigate this issue?

1. Yes, they can trash warranty quoting undue service in future, although KM difference isn't much, they look for every possible way to void warranty - company might point you responsible if something goes bad. Best way will be get it serviced within 15K KMs range, get service data entered & later get it serviced once more on a reputed centre within a week or so. That's what I will prefer if I would have stuck in your place.

2. Wireless charging is useless. Better get a third party wireless pad & plug it in USB or charge via cable using a good adapter.

Re: 2022 Skoda Kodiaq Facelift Review | 2.0L Petrol DSG

So for the New 2023 Kodiaq, this is the list of fuel that can be safely put. Please correct if wrong and add more if there are any other fuel options:-

1) Shell V Power (99 RON)

2) HP Power 95/ Power 99/Power 100

3) IOC XP95 / XP100

Anything from BP - ?

Shell's Unleaded Petrol - ?

Any other option?

Shell VPower is 91 RON.

XP 95 is widely available now, perhaps the best option.

Re: 2022 Skoda Kodiaq Facelift Review | 2.0L Petrol DSG

Hi to all new Kodiaq users
Our Tiguan Allspace is reaching the 60000 km mark. I saw some questions regarding the fuel to be used and about wireless chargers. Want to clarify based on my experiences with Tiguan Allspace and Skoda Superb.
1) Fuel- whatever your service personnel says, please stick to XP95
2) Wireless chargers are useless. We can use it to boil eggs rather than charging your phone. Please use a wired charger for the health of your phone. Please feel free to correct me if I am wrong.

Regards
