Jeep was clever enough to place the 'Rubicon' decals on both sides of the hood to avoid any potential misunderstanding and yet

Great! Glad to see M&M rolling out the Mocha interiors on time.

Which exterior colour had you booked, and when exactly (date/time) did your booking go through?

I booked Battleship Grey AX7L 4WD AT. Booking went through on Oct 3, 11 am sharp. Mahindra had earlier sent an email with a tentative delivery in March.

Thanks! My payment for the identical one in Black failed twice, hence got the confirmation only at 1128.

Yet to thoroughly test drive it with family though. Waiting for proper home test drives to start.

Thar ROXX internal crash test video - Looks like another 5 stars..!

But I wonder why the side and curtain airbags didn’t deploy during the crash!

Its a head on/ frontal collision, so probably the algorithm didn't find it necessary to deploy the side/ curtain airbags.

It seems they used the AX5L/Mx5 for the crash test. Any idea why they didn’t use the AX7L instead? Most of the safety features are the same—could the sunroof be a factor?

Crash tests are done for the base variants of cars so that the results will be applicable across the range.

Re: Mahindra Thar Roxx Review

I took delivery of my stealth black AX7L P AT last Wednesday, after which I drove it directly to change the tyres and alloys. I downsized to 18 inch matte black Fuel Vector wheels with Yokhama Geolander AT in 255 65 18 size tyres. And the next day gave it for ceramic coating and got it back on Saturday. I have driven close to 250 KM post delivery. I will post more detailed observations/reviews as we go along. In the meantime if there are questions that anyone would like addressed please feel to ask them.

If there is not much pressure during the collision it won't get deployed. In this scenario there was good amount of intensity while testing with front collision, so chances of airbags getting opened only in front portions are higher.

Congratulations on the pickup! I too am waiting for my AX7L P AT. Looking forward to seeing the alloys you have updated to. Just a question, did you consider HT tyres in lieu of AT?

Congratulations for the new ROXX. Just for the ride comfort you degraded alloy size or for the design aspects ? Have you exchanged stock alloys & tyres with them ? If so how much they offered? May I know the booking sequence number you had and any ETD mails recieved by you and they matched your delivery with those pre mentioned date taglines ?

What's yours ETD as communicated by M&M ? I feel there are some good number of Petrol Top variants are getting delivered without much hassle.
