Congratulations on getting your AX7L Petrol AT.

How is the ride quality of 18" Geolander's compared to stock 19"?
Can you share pic of new alloys and tyres?
Did you change tail gate mounted alloy also?
Can you share breakup of alloy and tyre cost?

May I know the booking sequence number you had and any ETD mails recieved by you and they matched your delivery with those pre mentioned date taglines ?

What's yours ETD as communicated by M&M ? I feel there are some good number of Petrol Top variants are getting delivered without much hassle.

My booking reference ID was B-9999963, I never received any communication from Mahindra on ETD. I still see the bookings with no status update in the bookings website as well as the app. I have a feeling that in the cases where there is no communication from Mahindra on ETD, the vehicles have already been allocated by them, but there is a delay or misallocation from the dealer side

My decision to change the alloys/tyres were driven by three criteria; comfort, looks and price. I reached out to various places to get the available alloys and tyres. The 18 inch alloys with Geolander AT tyres provided an acceptable trade offs across all three criteria. HT tyres were considered as well, but there was difficulty in sourcing them in the sizes I wanted. Since I got the vehicle delivery much earlier than anticipated I did not get enough time to check further.

All five tyres were changed, the alloys came to 130K, the tyres were 72K and I got 55K for the stock ones. The change to 18 inches have definitely improved the ride quality but I felt that the air pressure makes a much bigger difference. Once the tyres were changed I initially found low speed broken road ride really jarring to the point where I was feeling nauseous. Did wonder if I had made a mistake going for this car. I had done 4 test drives before going ahead with the puchase and I knew that the ride isn't this jarring, so I got the air pressure checked and it showed 34 PSI. I got it reduced to 32 and it made a world of a difference on low speed ride.

I am currently not in a position to share the pics, will share them in due time.

I'm not sure what this means, but got this email today.
Have u asked with your dealer or with the M&M SM handle /customer care about your OTF Number(Order Taking Form) ? As it shows here your tentative bill date is around Feb 2025 with Mocha Interior, it's really surprising that you have received this details this much early! Some hopes now that they are working to dispatch ROXX with Mocha Interior as per their earlier announcement.

You got 55k for the Stock tires alone or including the stock alloys as well ?

Hi All,

Have anyone fixed a dashcam in your new Roxx? Does hard wiring the cam void the warranty?

This is great info. I have booked a AX7L in Petrol and in Diesel (Mocha Int). and the Petrol is up for delivery later this month and the Diesel is expected in April 2025. I currently own the 3DR Petrol 4X4 and I get around 7-8 KMPL in city conditions. I haven't seen any concrete figures regarding Petrol fuel efficiency numbers for the Roxx, but given it's a heavier more tuned engine, it would probably be around the 6 KMPL range.

Low FE of the Petrol, lack of 4X4 and white interiors are kind of keeping me at bay and I'm considering the Diesel 4X4 instead.

Can you give some feedback about your thoughts on why go for petrol and if you've gotten any FE numbers to share?

TIA and great choice for Rims..

Re: Mahindra Thar Roxx Review

I’ve booked AX7L P AT and the tentative delivery is around Feb-Mar 2025.

But I feel thigh support in this car is too less and now confused between this and the XUV700.

Did anyone else feel that the thigh support is insufficient/too less, or is it just me ?

Will this have a major impact on comfort during long drives?

Also, is there any way to extend the thigh support without tampering with the seat, considering it has airbags, seat ventilation, and electric motors for seat adjustment?

Re: Mahindra Thar Roxx Review

How much did you pay for the Ceramic coating? Is it better than PPF?

Having experienced both I can easily say XUV700 is the better car for most of us unless you need the 650mm water wading capacity which is a pre-requisite for me as a Delhiite.

One can add additional foam to the seat base and reupholster it. My only concern is the seat airbags deployment shouldn't be affected.

For someone with a tall stance, the thigh support is just about adequate. I'm 6ft and I felt it to be all right, on par with my current daily driver, Seltos.

I'm more concerned about the lumbar support. Just a few years away from my 30s, I wish it had adjustable lumbar support (Thar 3D initially had it).

Looks like you also changed the spare wheel alloys, how did you manage to retain the rear camera? Maybe add that photo as well when you get a chance!

I asked my SA via whatsapp at Anant Cars Mysuru Road and he responded saying "You will get the vehicle in Feb as per Mahindra"

Following up on this issue of seat covers/ reupholstering existing seats for cars with seat airbags, came across this incredibly informative article highlighting the nuances of the same.

Needless to say, you won't be trusting your insta-famous neighbourhood accessories shop to reupholster your seats after reading this.

I will now be looking into dyeing the leatherette.

Re: Mahindra Thar Roxx Review

So after 2 roadtrips and daily driving, my OCD has made me loose my mind and I cannot keep these seats clean.
The trim plastics gets cleaned easily with any APC but seats man.
I don’t know how stains appear magically everywhere even though the car is driven primarily by me and even on the headliner.
Its like daily I discover new stains and god knows how.
I have talked to 2/3 dealers but they insist on tearing the old seats and re-upholstering them but idk man I am double minded due to airbags and my new car being ripped.
Please drop in your suggestions for any cleaners or any seatcovers (slip on types) or anything to solve these issues.
Thank you
