Just got a SMS from VW-Cochin regarding Vento 1.6MPI Trendline "plus" with 2-DIN music system, leather seats "and much more".

Sounds like a dealer initiative to boost petrol Vento sales. Or is this a new variant itself?

Guys, I have happy news. My Vento TDI(Shadow Blue) is in transit now, dealer said I should be getting the car by next week.

@TopSpeeder, congratulations. I've just booked a Shadow Blue TDI HL too. The dealer gave a waiting period estimate of 6-8 months. When did you book your beauty?

Wow! Shadow Blue is too good. Guess this will become favourite amongst prespective Vento owners, besides white and silver shades.

I was wondering whether there is any Petrol Vento owner here (not AT). I have not read or heard much about petrol Vento(M/T)'s performance from a real owner. Anybody?

@ajay- You hardly see petrol Ventos on the road (can make them out by the lack of TDI badging). I think the manual petrol has got a bad rep compared to the diesel (people who want ATs go head and buy them). That may be why.

Friend of mine has booked a petrol MT in Bangalore- will check and let you know.

is VW also going the Ford way? Limited Edition? Sports Edition?

I always thought Vento was a good seller. I received the below attached sms from VW Dealer today.

I verified it. This is dealer's edition. Most of them are done on trendlines

This is a smashing colour, the best yet! Wish I could swap my Silver (coming saturday) for this one. Also keen to see if Beige colour is also out in showrooms.

Hi guys! Any word on the rumored Vento 1.4? Would be awesome if VW launched an economy Vento with ABS & Airbags at close to Manza-Etios price levels (though highly unlikely I guess).
