Quick question about the posts on TBHP.

Is there a way to mark a post as not interested and not have it show in my list of posts?

Poster using mobile... and the rest of us! One does not have to be on a small screen to be inconvenienced by quoting whole posts, when only a tiny part is being answered or the quote is only there to attract the attention of the quoted member. It's a pain for everybody!

At least this software does not nest previous quotes!

What you telling is a very nice idea, but I doubt that this software will do it.

If I click on the name of the person making a post, a pop-up menu comes with a bunch of options related to that person - "View profile", "Send a PM" etc. In that menu, can we add an option: "See all posts by this person in this thread"? There is an existing options "See all posts by this person" but that searches the entire forum, whereas I think limiting this feature to the current thread will be a lot more useful.

Can we have a notification (Bell) icon on the top somewhere which shows if someone has quoted my post? Currently this alerts comes only through the mail, which is missed many times.

A notifications dropdown for quoted, thanked, is much needed. And I think it is possible with this software because Indiamike.com has it.

"Dharmasthala/Kukke/Sringeri/Horanadu" would be seen as one word .. hence the display like that ? There is no space before/after any of the / there.

Could we have an "On the road" thread in the travelogues section? This thread will host posts or pictures that people want to post a picture from their trip with some basic commentary or a (typically, a one pic-one post microlog) without really having to write a full-fledged multi-post travelogue for paucity of time. These will be nuggets of info that otherwise will go missing as people may not post assuming that full-travelogues are required to post those.

Would it be as good idea to have classifieds as a sub-category of forum threads? This way, people could ask questions and any info provided would be visible to everyone. and the seller does not need to be asked and have to respond to the same questions again and again.

This would also make it easier to search I presume.

This has been discussed earlier by the mods, and decision was to leave it as it is - i.e., no un-thanking. Most of the time, a member thanks a post intentionally. If you look further, a thanks by mistake is not as serious as an abusive post / incorrect data and the like. Hence it does not really need corrective action. The number of un-intentional hits are not that much, and hence it is the way it is.

I have done it a few times, myself.
