Heard that TRS guys led by Harish Rao have resorted to a traffic blockade near Shilpa Ramam an hour back.

Latest reports say that police are trying to get the road cleared. Avoid that road, guys. I am wfh today.

Requesting all to please update adverse traffic conditions in the city on real time basis.

Habsiguda - Tarnaka route is seeing a traffic blockade as per Traffic Police.

I have to leave for the airport in 30 minutes.

My route was supposed to be Banjara Hills - Jubilee Hills - Madhapur - Gachibowli - ORR - Shamshabad but Vnabhi has reported problems on this route. Let me know if it is clear as I prefer this route.

Alternate route is Road No. 1 - Masab Tank - PVNR Expressway - NH7 - Shamshabad. Any news on this route.

Just got this from HTP : 10:31 - Traffic slowdown at SR Nagar and IS Sadan due to Rasta Roko please Avoid above mentioned routes.

I suggest you go via your alternate route. Another option is via J Hills - Whisper Valley Road - Gachibowli - ORR.

Today morning, went to secbad on some work, not much traffic or any rasta roko at all.

Then started from home at 9:10am and reached work in 40 mins via. mehdipatnam, tolichowki road. not much traffic and no rasta roko at all.

Either the rasta roko for 100 junctions was a farce or they are doing it outside the perimeter of Hyd/Sec'bad

1. Ranigunj-Karbala jn and MG road totally jammed.
2. RTC X Roads also jammed.

This is getting nasty and IMHO not warranted

Re: Hyderabad: Updates on traffic - diversions, road expansions, alternate routes, et

Guys,

Whoever going to start from office to home, be ready for huge traffic jams towards shilparamam, miyapur cross roads via kondapur, heavy rain created huge water logging at several places.

Now rain isn't there in miyapur, but water is logged heavily at shilparamam, allwyn colony junction.

Roads towards towlichowki and mehadipatnam also effected.

Thanks,
Srinivas.R

Re: Hyderabad: Updates on traffic - diversions, road expansions, alternate routes, et

30-Sept-2011
9:30 Am till 10:00 AM:

No traffic issues on my office route from Banjara Hills Rd 14-Jubilee Hills Rd 36, Madhapur Main Road-Shilparamam.

Police presence but not in overpowering numbers. Very few private cars and even fewer cabs. Lots of share auto's and an equal number of motorcycles. Only one bus was plying and it had passengers but no route number at its rear.

Madhapur Petrol bunk is closed.

Some shops are open but with shutters half closed.

Re: Hyderabad: Updates on traffic - diversions, road expansions, alternate routes, et

I have not taken the risk of going to office today and am working from home. A few persons who went to work at Ascendas IT Park between 9 and 11 am reported no obstacles.

Any other developments that you guys are aware of?

Traffic is so thin at Panjagutta circle, it doesn't look like it's the same chaotic Panjagutta circle. But still HTP is manning the junction. Not much Police presence though.
Regular shops are all open. Don't think there would be any major impact. Offices are also mostly open.
