I would really recommend this. Used it for more than 3 Years on my Black Elantra.

3M is the most decent one of all in your list with the rest being very ordinary products. Generally pastes are better than liquids which are better than spray on waxes.

I haven't used this 3M wax but in general 3M products are decent to very good depending on which one you buy.

If you're really keen on a good product try Meguiar's as has been suggested

Re: A superb Car cleaning, polishing & detailing guide

Looking for a wash mitt and seeing reviews that the Meguiars is too big for a regular palm. What's the difference between X3002 in bringingbest and X3002EU in Amazon?

If not Meguiars, are there any other brands?

I have used the 3M wax and it does a decent job. Although not the same product, I have used Proklear Rinseless wash with Carnauba wax, but it used to leave stains on my car, so I discontinued it.

The Meg's fits perfectly for me and have been using mine since quite a while now.
Don't think there's any difference between the 2 numbers you quoted.

Re: A superb Car cleaning, polishing & detailing guide

The visibility on my car was getting worse during the night drives due to the hard water stains & minor scratches on the windshield primarily contributed by our apartment cleaner.

I ordered "Glass science glass scrub" to clean my windshield, will list the pros and cons below:

Pros:
1.) It removed 95% of the hard water stains, oil & minor scratches after 2 rounds of scrubbing. A glass polishing machine would have done the job well, quicker and easier, but that comes at a cost. The windshield feels new, like when I received my car 4.5 years ago.

Cons:
1.) Product doesn't come with a scrub pad. Had to purchase them separately from amazon.
2.) Lot of physical effort needed to get the right result.
3.) Costly. But windshield restoration at a detailing center would close to 2-2.5k INR.

Procedure:
1.) Use armorall glass cleaner to clean the windshield
2.) Pour ample amount of water and ensure the windshield is wet.
3.) Apply the scrub in circular motion till it becomes dry.
4.) Wash the windshield with water.
5.) Repeat the procedure again until you find the the results matching your expectation.

Sorry, don't have before and after pictures to project the results.

Where to order?
http://www.bringingbest.in/index.php...ch=glass+scrub
https://www.amazon.in/KMH-Profession...Applicator+Pad
https://www.amazon.in/Armor-All-3202...+glass+cleaner

Hope this helps.

I am planning to try the same scrub on the window glasses, will keep you updated.

Rgds,
Vinod

Re: A superb Car cleaning, polishing & detailing guide

Dealer service (VW) --- had my windscreen polished, but they said they doubted they could remove one big ding. Apart from the ding, yes, the glass is like new.

I am thinking of trying to smooth the rough edges of the ding. This would be a last-ditch attempt. It is not impossible that I might even break the glass or put a serious crack in it! I'd have to be ready to go for immediate replacement if I try this on. I'd use CarPro Ceriglass on a pointed rotary-tool felt polishing tip. But I really have lost the soft-touch hand control that I had when I made jewellery for a hobby thirty years ago, and would regard this as a dangerous (for the glass at least, and yes, I'd wear eye protection) thing to do.

Re: A superb Car cleaning, polishing & detailing guide

Tried my hands on a 9 year old *White* car. Highlighting the White as I've found that's the most difficult shade to bring the shine and gloss out. Following are the things that went on the car in a due of 3 weekends giving me some rest and also some time for curing. No power tool was used during the whole process and it was all in all elbow grease.

Things done;
1. Sonax Shampoo wash
2. Paint decontamination
3. Claying
4. Polishing
5. Show Glazing
6. Paint Sealant and Multiple coats of wax for that unmistakable wet look.

Amazing, no words to describe.

I could not make-out the reflection on the car for a few seconds; I was wondering why you posted the picture of the garage / wall.

Congratulations.
