Got my nexus from amazon. Paid total 414 dollars as i asked for next day delivery to my cousin. Without the urgent delivery it will come to 400 dollars. Google says 350 dollars but that's without the extra taxes and stuff.

Ask your friend to order Galaxy Nexus from Google Play Store. Comes to around $388 including taxes and 2-day shipping.

You can find HTC One X in that range on both eBay and Amazon. Smashing phone for the price.

but no SD card and you get the dual core LTE phone if you are buying it in the US.

I am back in the US semi permanently now. Picked up the Galaxy S3 on Verizon and wow what a beauty it is . Its the dual core, LTE version here. LTE is blazing fast (i get something like almost 30 mbps download) and i am falling in love with Android all over again . There is a 2 GB download limit on Verizon so i tend to stick to WiFi as im home most of the time

The Dual core Krait is better than Quad Core Tegra see get here in India in terms of performance as well as battery life. Plus it anyway supports 3G frequencies so it will work fully in India. Even Nexus doesn't have SD card support.

The price difference seems to be huge w.r.t market prices!

Which is a better phone.... the S3 or the Note1

Please ignore the shape size and looks aspect.

From what i understand the S3 is better than the Note1 on the hardware front except battery life.

But the question is - do other hardware parameters really matter? Or are they just battery sucking parasites? - need your advise here.

And on the practical battery parameter the Note1 wins without doubt.

Go for s3 it has a quad core processor and it will soon get jelly bean update.

S3 kicks Note butt in everything apart from Screen size. It's based on the next gen proc than Note, is getting Jelly bean and has many more Custom Mods. Unless you want the extra screen estate, go for S3 blindly.

Service seems to be good. A friend got a Dell Vostro from their deals a couple of days back. No issues with shipping, packaging or the product.

How did you manage to check the price? I tried after a few minutes after the deal went live and it was already showing 'Out of stock' for the S3.
