There are a few Gypsies, but I am not sure if they are MPFI, the BA No says 2000, you will never Know unless you inspect the lot.

There is one Land Rover 3/4 ton GS up in Auction. The Auction is on 23rd Feb 2012, The Seller is Delhi Cantt. Hope a fellow BHPian picks this Jewel.

No Idea Whatsoever. It depends on the people who participate, and how desperate they are for a Land Rover. My guesstimate is around 1.25L + Levies.

Thanks Jerrycan.

Does BA No. mean year of manufacturing? If yes, then weren't MPFI manufactured since 1999 and definitely from 2000 onwards?

I have seen MSTC listings of LOTS and I think they specifically mention MPFI, don't they?

Regards...

Now that is a tough one Jerrycan. I am a newb and I wish I knew "any dealers/fellow Bhpians" who are participating.

The BA no means year of being put into Service.A vehicle manufactured during 1999 may be put into service from 2000 onward. Hence the cautious approach.

Not all the depots Mention MPFI or even the BA nos. For Instance, none the vehicles auctioned from KIRKEE depot will have any details on the catalogue

If you can find a dealer from your home state, you may save on registration costs, if i procure a vehicle for you, i need to register the vehicle in my state and then get an NOC before effecting a Transfer of ownership to you. If you are willing to bear the costs, I have no qualms in procuring the vehicles.

You are a BHPian now.Congrats.

Can you, my friend, please explain why "i need to register the vehicle in my state and then get an NOC before effecting a Transfer of ownership to you"? Is this some law or rule?

I am a registered dealer with MSTC. When I bid and win an auction , the Invoice and Form 21 is issued in the name of my firm or in my name as the case may be. As a registered dealer from TN, the vehicle gets registered in my Name and Address, at Coimbatore, Central. When I sell the vehicle to some body within TN, I just sign the Transfer of Ownership papers and the buyer transfers the ownership to his name and Address within Tamil Nadu.
In your Case, the vehicle has to be re-registered in AP. When you register it in AP, you are forced to pay the Life TAX and registration charges again.

Re: Jeeps/Gypsy's: All through Army Auctions: What, When, Where, How?

Okay, I understand now. Can you please tell me how much will this cost on your side? I will find out how much it will cost me here in AP... so that I know how much registration budget I am looking at.

Also have you disabled "receiving Private Messages"? I could not send you one.

Hey, Jeet,
you are looking at 50 K, 30 on my side and 20 on your's.
I am not a BHPian yet, so no Private Messages.

Please refer "Heart Over Mind 2001 Model MM550" thread. The MM550 was registered and sold by me. You may PM the current owner for all the details

I do not have any intention of getting a Gypsy. All I can do is help you get one.

Is there any TBhpian in Delhi or Noida who could help me check out a Gypsy King for me at Noida. I have just joined TBhp and do not know many people around.
