Well in a Lxi it is possible to fix a 6.5'' using some modification..of course this should be done by a good installer....
Yeah its the LXI.

Would it fit without interfering with the Power windows? Or is a Spacer ring a must?

There's this guy called Joseph who does installs at the Blaupunkt showroom (and the adjacent shop that specialises in Pioneer) on the byepass, near Vyttila (Just before Skoda, if you are travelling towards Vyttila). He does a decent job, and does not charge much. But he takes his sweet time about getting an install done. He works alone, and so generally takes more time. But he is very open to suggestions and will do the install any way you want it done. But you can expect a totally plain vanilla install.

And the stuff he uses -- connectors, wires, screws etc are all not so good quality (Zuheimi uses top quality stuff in terms of screws, connectors, wires etc, he always uses as many ties and sleeves as necessary and his connections look like they were done that way at the factory).

If you plan on George, plan to spend the entire day and night at the install. He took 10-11 hours to do a rewiring job (power & RCA), and to install & tune 2 amps, and install a cd-changer in my car a coupla years back.

@Dilipkumar.... You can't expect a professional install in those Mamangalam shops. That would be the last place I would go for ICE installs.
Let me put this straight from what I have experienced here. There's no second/alternative to ZUHEMI here. Atleast nobody I have bumped on to. His professional work method and finish is simply unmatched.

Other installers are plenty. I would list Automate, Blaupunkt showroom (both on byepass), St. Antony's (near medical trust), General motors (opp. Modern breads), Car port (near chembumukku) and Srikant @ indus motors if told to select from the lot.

Hello Folks..in my last post i had bored all of you to death on a possible audio system for a NHC/Fiesta/Verna.

let me first apologise (Especially to Hydrashok who really took his time and effort to explain it out to me) and then explain

I went through the selection process in a very structured, planned organised and strategic manner and in most probability will select the option which was not even considered, thought or even dreamt of at that time..the mahindra scorpio. (Lets not get into the reasoning..its inexplicable to me even now )

Since the scorpio is a mini room and from what I have read in these threads, that the stock speaker locations provided being unusual, may not allow too much of choices, I put my briliant single neuron in my head, also called my brain (A Singularity), to some use and arrived at the following thought

1 pair of component speakers on the very back firing to the front. the placement would be above the back door..perhaps slightly angled down. the woofers inside and the tweeters on the corners (I have no idea how they will be fixed as of yet)

1 10" sub ideally in a tube enclosure below the 1st row seats OR a 10" box enclosure sub somewhere near the door

1 four channel amp to drive bothe the sub and the components.

Does this make sense in a car ? will it work ? or is my neuron too overworked ?

Or should I go the traditional way of modding the comps in the front door with a pair of rear 6x9 or regular fit coaxials + sub ?

i still have 2 days to decide on my vehicle hence the confusion (The NHC and the Fiesta are anyway out of contention for other reasons but the verna does have a wildcard)

Wow, it's late and I've had a lot to drink. Guess that's why we're having trouble understanding that. Anyways, let's tackle this one:

I assume you are asking CS2165 compos or GTO507C. (It HAS to be an assumption, because i don't know the numbers you posted)

The CS components are 6" and the GTO507 is 5.25". Without cutting you can fit the GTO507C, go for it.
The best way to connect your speakers to your 504 is this way

Connect the front out your 504 to the compos. Bridge the rears to your tube. Connect the oval pio speakers (whoopee) to the rear channel speaker out of your head unit. That way your fader will work too.

Enjoy!

Not sharp, shooter baba. The least you can do is buy a car of your choice first
Secondly your neuron is a bit wrong, you need front sound first. Why would you have components in the rear and nothing in the front?

Take my advice, forget about the sound for now, buy a car you want and come back to us with a smile.

Brother
Can you help me find a pioneer HU AVH-P 5750 as I could not get one from Dubai(stocks over).I enquired at shops in cochin but they are charging a very big margin for that.(Rs 48000/ compared to 2800 dirhams in Dubai).I find that all the dealers get the system from chennai. Is there anyone who could get me the price of the given HU in Chennai.I wouldn't mind going to chennai if its cheaper there..

Thank you

@Revtech. It's better to post these kind in Market Place.

@DilipKumar. Everywhere, you'll find almost similar prices for the said In-dash DVD HU. The least difference will be about 2k-3k +/-!! And I don't think it's worth flying to Chennai for that price difference.
And the said HU is likely to be replaced soon with a new one. So, there could be a small price drop soon.

PM E_L!! (Esteem_Lover) for the prices in Chennai. Maybe he can help you find the exact prices there.

speedzak i think market place is where you want to SELL & BUY items and i clearly dont want to sell them im just giving them away....so if you want me to open a thread just for one post and that too being offtopic in that section i will.

Thankyou speedzak...but Ihae enquired the said HU in Penta Menaka and there it comes to around 42000/,so there is a difference of around 5000rs between tthe accessories shops and the shop at Penta. That's why I thought it better to enquire at Chennai. Also would you suggest waiting a little if the price of this HU drops.
