Hi,

Found this on a website Philips 52 class Full HD 1080p digital TV with Pixel Plus HD_TVs & HDTVs_krrshop.com -

Quote:
Philips 52 class Full HD 1080p digital TV with Pixel Plus HD
NO.:ECS000137
Shop price:€565
One of my friends have ordered a laptop from this website and got it without any problem. So, I guess the risk of buying online from this site is less.

The price mentioned is €565
1€=67 INR I guess?

Any suggestions if I should go ahead with the buy? Looks cheap compared to Indian Market.

Hi All,

Need your valuable suggestions on what would be the best buy in the 32" and above size range.

* Budget: Upto 35K(Little stratchable)
* 32" or above
* Picture quality is of the utmost interest since it will be used as the primary monitor for home theatre.
* Viewing distance 8-16 Ft
* FULL HD or HD ready preferable
* Plasma or LCD or LED ???
* Sony 5.1 will be the sound output.
* Purchase period: June / July 2010.

Just checked Panasonic delear at Baner in pune. they offered me a 42" Plasma at 37k(HD ready) and 32" LCD at 38k (Full HD).

Forgot the Model number.. will update later

which one to go for?? please suggest

Or any other brand??

Some 32'' I think are the best which cost within 35K
LG 32LG53FR - I think there is a newer version for this now.
SAMSUNG LA32B530P7R
PHILIPS 32PFL5609
SONY W550A

All have the best features with quality and meet your requirement. Price depends on dealer. Max should be 35K

i know this is a huge thread - but flip back and forth and you will see panny plasmas are the most value for money you can get in display technology and they are the hot favorites here. Go for the 42" panny plasma and you won't regret

edit - I am bypassing the plasma vs lcd vs led and hdready vs fullhd questions here and directly making a recommendation for you as those questions have already been discussed to death here!

Hi, does anybody know how the existing Panasonic Viera 50V10 Plasma compares with the new Viera 50U20 (2010 models)?

I was planning to buy the 50V10, but now the dealer says there is no stock available and instead I could go for the 50U20. I haven't found much reviews on the net.

One thing I observed in the specs is that the 'Moving Picture Resolution' on the 50U20 is 900 lines whereas in the 50V10 it is 1080 lines. From what limited knowledge I have, I think 1080 lines are a must for any Full HD TV. They advertise the 50U20 as a Full HD model. Is this true? Somebody please clarify

Even the Viera 50S10 has 1080 lines

Checked Samsung C450 in samsung showroom in noida today.
Quiet impressed with SD and HD content which was played.
Also audio is decent.
Price- 43k after negotiation.
Decent deal?

ALso checked LG-
PJ650- 45k
PJ-560r- 52k.
In comparison with samsung LG was below par in PQ atleast.

Also Panny people there had no idea about new 2010 plasmas getting launched. Anyone knows any dealer in NCR who had got them?

The Samsung LA40B650 is available for 60k , and you get a digicam free. Saw this at a shop in Blore. Is it a good price for the TV? And they are offering 6k for my 2 year old Sony 29" TV. So ill get the TV at probably 54k.

The new model LA40C650 is available at 74k, which i would get at 64.5k after giving back my old TV + the digicam.

Should i go for the LA40C650 or the old LA40B650 ?

Guys, I was just browsing the Panasonic India and they now show a lot of new models. Many FULL HD. The U series and A series are now in India. Not to forget the all important 50V20 and 42V20 which are the successors of the hugely successful 50V10 and 42V10.
Can someone PLEASE tell me the prices of BOTH V20 models? Would appreciate it

My friend who bought a Panny 42" S10 for 60 K last month found something wrong with the picture quality on Hathway STB. However the WD media player picture via hdmi was superb.
He recently switched over to Airtel STB and found the same issue. He complained to Panasonic and they promptly replaced the TV. Everything is fine now. I'd say it was a commendable response by Panasonic. What is worrisome however, is that the Panny dealer had perhaps sold off a defective piece intentionally, but one can never be sure.

I got a Benq G2420hd display today. I am pretty impressed by its performance. I believe its a total value for money 24 inch monitor.

Pros:

Full HD..1080p is sweet!
HDMI port
Bundled DVI Cable
Light Weight
Price when compared to 24 inchers with similar specs
Brilliant response time
Heaphone out jack

Cons:

No Swivel
Cumbersome buttons for adjustment

HD ready would have 1376 x 768 pixels, while full HD has 1920 x 1080.
