Have been using an E50 for over 2 months now, so shall try & post a review by tomorrow evening. Too drunk right now to do so! But the black does look really nice!!

For a short opinion really nice phone with good battery life compared to models like the 6680-6681-6630 (using the 6681 as the second phone right now) Good voice quality & signal reception. Tad slow at times but nothing problematic but yes has a few bugs that need to be taken care of by software upgrades.

Good form factor, slim & easy to use. Text too small for some people to read. Rest to be written tomorrow afternoon!! Till then *hick* *hick* good night!!!!!!!

Hey Mugen_power thanks for the gsmarena linky. that site is number 2 on bookmarks after tbhp.
I have many more links. I have read almost all the reviews for the E-50. Wanted user opinions. All the reviews say it's the best S60 budget phone.

plus now the black one looks too cool.

S60 phones are slower than the S40. My 6230i is already a little on the slower side. If the E-50 is going to be more slower it will be very irritating.

@irags: hehehe cheers mate. enjoy the hangover.

Since the 6230i is a S40 phone and the E50 a symbian S60 wanted to know if it will be slower?

I know that s60 is a slower but not on the E50.

I just got tempted even more after they launched this:

tested a black e50 it is very very nice it is not at all slow. go for it no issues at all with the phone. its replacement to the 6310i which is very popular in the market for years now..

It has s60 3rd edition so it is not slow as 6680,6681,6600,7610.
My brother is using silver E50 from 2-3 Months and really happy with E50 after 6230i.

It is VFM Buy So dont think much and get a Black E50.

I use a SE K750i... I think if there ever was a VFM mobile this is it. At 10k this phone does everything which is superlative by the mobile standards. The coverage is excellent. I have seen that at basement level-2 in my office where all other phones conk off my phone still catches signal (very weak though). The features like radio, mp3 player etc is superb. Besides the built-in speaker, the supplied headphones can make it sound better than an iPod. The camera is known to be iconic on this phone. In fact it serves as my regular camera on most occassions. The flash is great which also doubles up as an emergency neon light in the dark (continuously on mode). It comes with a Memory Stick that can store anything and serves as a nice pen drive. With built in irda and bluetooth its about as complete a phone that you can buy.

psst... if you are addicted to games be careful with this phone... games like the warplanes and tennis are known to be so addictive that people end up with a dysfunctional joystick within a year (which costs just 200rs to replace).

.
Indeed its a very good phone. I had it and exchanged it for p990 and regretting doing it. p990 is too bulky PDA and k750 has all features packed in small phone and very easy to use. Like changing songs on p990 can be a pain while jogging but in k750,you can use volume keys to change track or search new radio station. and in p990 you need to stylus and that can be a pain.

Anyone knows the launch dates of Nokia 6300? I am awaiting it. I almost brought the E50 last week, but saw some rushes on the N6300.

Its slimer than the E50 and has better features. I expect it to be priced at the rupee equivalent of USD 300. I have written to Nokia and am waiting for a reply.

It's not at all similar to the E50. the E50 is a symbian S60 UI interface whereas the 6300 is a S40 interface.

The 6300 is more similar to the 6233 not the E50.

The 6300 has a better screen(more number of colours) but no stereo speakers which the 6233 has.

HELP!!! !Sony Ericsson K800/790 users

Guys,
I picked up a SE K800i from Singapore about 3 weeks ago and it has been working nicely till today morning. I received a call, spoke to the person for about 5 mins and then ended the call and checked a snap that I had taken last evening and then placed the phone on my desk. Didn't touch it or do anything for almost an hour. Then I picked up the phone and find that it has crashed. The display was all corrupt... I get nothing on the screen just lines. I tired the following...
1. Restarted the phone - no use
2. Removed the memory card (1gig) and then restarted - no use
3. Removed the sim and tried to restart - no use

The phone starts up with a white screen and then disappears. Pressing any key just brings up a screen with vertical lines and nothing happens.

Have to take the phone to a SE service center.. would like to know if anyone has any suggestions. And can anyone point me to a good SE service center with address and contact. I have one guy in HSR will go there if I have no other choices.
Hoping that one of you can give me some solution to get my phone working...
Thanks in advance
