Shell in India (fuel, lubes, outlets)

Got Normal petrol from shell in bangalore its now Rs 55.90. I think Super costs around 57.90.

There is a newspaper report today (The Times of India) which says the Government is willing to talk fuel price rollback! So lets hope for something positive. I'm sure, as always, they hike the prices by some INR 3/- and then reduce by INR 1/-!

Its Rs.43.10 for the diesel sold at Shell yesterday. Its not really worth to pay Rs.3.25 / Litre extra, hence on a look out for any company owned petrol bunks .

The normal shell is as good as BP normal with System G i guess. No technical info just experience. Used to put this for old santro to stop sound that used to come when accelerating indicating impure fuel and with normal shell it stopped also.

What is system G, is this some kind of additives? never heard of it before. Can you please explain ?

System G is a fuel additive, Iftek System G is the exact name, not sure of the technicalities but fuel additives enhance engine performance. Maybe

on this but never bothered ever since got into shell

) prices from Madras? I topped on Friday morning for the old price (Diesel - 39.95 per litre), not sure if it has changed since.

I have filled shell diesel for the first time in my indica & surprisingly found the engine very smooth. Looks like the FE is also better. But need to check for atleast next couple of tank full to comment as there is a price difference of nearly Rs.4/-.
