Are you sure that is Shell Regular & not Shell Premium? Because I got a tankful done today here at Bangalore & that was @59.20.

Normally, Bangaloreans are the ones that get ripped off on petrol & road taxes etc.

I tanked up @ Shell opposite HP office enroute to Whitefield. Normal is Rs. 59.20 and Super is Rs. 61.80. The discussion of Hyderabad price seems to be on the Super and yes, we bangaloreans still are paying the highest

I checked with the attendants and a manager this morning and they confirm that 97 octane is not available. In fact, they don't even have 95. That leaves to BP only. Need to check if HP and IOC also provide?!

Hyderabad being a cheaper city than Bangalore is a myth.
Hyderabad surpasses Bangalore on most counts.

I disagree, after having stayed long enough in both cities. However, this topic is beyond the scope of this thread.

Well, when it comes to Shell, We pay more here as the transportation costs add up compared to the retail prices at Bangalore outlets.

As per TOI (9th Nov), petrol (only) prices are set to go up by 36paise in Bangalore. HP is going up by 31paise and BP by 34paise.

Any idea on how much Shell is raising the prices by?

Vnabhi it was 59.70 before and with a 70 paise hike (+ ap taxes) this would have reached closer to 60.50 now.
That make a difference of Rs 1.45 only.

I think its high time that bunks should put up rates like they do in US - on large display outside each petrol bunk !!

they are put up outside almost every petrol pump, be it HP, BP, IO or Shell.

Just that the rates displayed on the boards outside cannot keep up with the frequency of fuel rate hikes!

Got my fifth model today (Enzo) at Shell Hosur Road, during my last visit on 2nd Nov I gave my details for one of the bill I didn't the gift.

Just pinged the manager today and voila got it. Currently they are giving the models for those would couldn't collect it due of stock unavailability during the offer period.

A small chat with him revealed that the offer would be back soon.

Guys, the Davangere outlet of Shell on PB road has been closed down, looks more like permanently as all the signage & structure too have been removed :(
It was quite a shock for me as i stick only to Shell & have been a regular at this bunk during all my visits.

After checking around with my relations, i was directed to tank up at Shadarakshappa & Sons, Indian Oil outlet, around a kilometer down the road.
They are supposed to be one of the better bunks around. I found the experience to be quite good.
