Hi Max,

Thank you once again for your relentless support. The evidence put in front of him should defenitely do the needful.

So long....

I will never recommend TATA vehicles to any of friends. I have same problem with my indica V1 with gear box. very frustrating service with Prerana motors. Today I sold my Indica and happy with NHC.

All the Tata dealers treat their customers like Truck & Taxi Drivers. They have been told to ignore their complaints. This is abundantly clear because Tata representatives, who are supposed to be at shop floor hide behind closed doors. The dealers, for some reason also safeguard them. Its like you scratch my back and I will scratch yours.

CONGRADULATIONS on getting rid of the Indica.

Max....i don't think that is a very good idea. It might be percieved in a way you wouldn't want it to.

Good to know that the matter is now before a court. However, do note that the courts rely on the evidence and the arguments presented before them to provide a judgement.

As hell_rider mentions, its not a good idea to call up the judges. It might as well jeopardise the case.

I totally agree TATA cars are pathetic engineering examples.
We have a TATA Indigo Marina bought from HAN MOTORS (who not to mention are pathetic at customer relations). Their workshop has 4 numbers (attended to by 1 person) and she never picks up anycalls.
Our car had gone there for servicing and was all scratched and when confronted their manager remarks "Sir the cars parked outside the shed are not our responsibilty"
When i threatened to write to higher authorities they filled the scratches with a PAINT BRUSH (the ones normally kids use in schools) and filled the gashes as though filling cracks in a wall!!! Pathetic finishing job! (Rightly said they should stick to making trucks but now even there VOLVO will give them a run for their money)
The gearbox is disgusting i needed to join a gym to get it out of the reverse gear and when i do it slips into 5th!!!
There's this faulty fuel indicator (that not to say is in the same state even after repairs)
And everything rattles! Finally after much thought i found a way to end the rattling - I JUST TURN OFF THE ENGINE!

If only they would have brought in the Fiat Adventure at the price it is now about a year and a half ago we would have never opted for this piece of utter trash!

Protest against TATA MOTORS

You still will have to deal with the Tatas now even if you buy a Fiat

Dear Mr. Sankar,

Thank you for forwarding the link.

I could not get details of the matter from the link.

Could you please elaborate on this, with details of Mr. Varun, the
customer you refer to.

Kind regards

Debasis Ray
Head - Corporate Communications
Tata Motors Limited

Subject: Protest in from of Bombay House againt Tata Motors.

http://www.team-bhp.com/forum/indian-car-scene/8043-protest-against-tata
-motors.html

Please see information on the link above. I have already convinced my
uncle
who runs a small private car hire business in New Bombay to cancel his
plans
to buy 3 new Tata Indica cars. I and my friends will try our best to
continue to discourage others by all means possible from buying Tata
Motors
products, until the customer in that link gets a fair deal from Tata.

Every one knows that there will be the odd manufacturing problem in any
assembly line, even for Honda and Toyota, but what is not acceptable
under
any circumstances is goondagiri. You may be selling too many cars to
care
anymore, but Tatas don't rule India yet. We will atleast make sure
enough
sales are lost to Tata to more than compensate for the replacement you
did
not give Varun.

We are also planning a protest in front of Bombay House. Let's see if
Ratan
Tata is also just as callous about his customers as all of you seem to
be.

Dovin.

A big no to this approach. Team-bhp as a forum cannot take this kind of steps.

All of us here do not subscribe to Tatas’ act but that doesn’t mean that we’ll do something like this.

However , you can help Varun in this case in your personal capacities.

Note from the support team: Please do not conduct any such action.

Hi Dada,

I agree with you on this count even though I would like more and more people to come out and openly fight against any cause that is just.

In this case, since the matter is in the legal forum, the evidence produced by us should settle matters unless of course, Tatas claim that I have forged these documents. A fact which they are capable of.

They have blamed my driving, and also that I had deliberately taken the vehicle to the workshop just to create evidence. They have also denied the other problems that exist even today in my vehicle ( not to mention the same problems existing in other vehicles of the same model ).

I thank and value your support which has given me the strength to fight this battle to its logical end.

So long....

Thank you Dovin for the trouble you have taken.

Mr. Debashish Roy cannot deny that he is not aware of this problem when the same has been e-mailed to all the Senior Corporate Heads of Tata Motors. Surely, at least one of them would have redirected this to Mr. D. Roy, as he is the Head of Communications. If he hasn't received it, then it just shows how good the communication is.

I shall post the names and their e-mail ids of the all the senior personnel to whom this file has been sent. I also have acknowledgements of them having read the mail.

I appreciate your idea of a protest in front of Bombay House but I agree with RS against using this forum for this cause.

So long....

As the matter is now being dealt with on the legal front it would not be a very good idea to protest etc.

Let the legal process wind its course.

Don't worry, very soon even Fiat cars will end up the same way with Tata service back-up. I really pity Fiat to have found partners in Tatas.
