I bought a Black Santro Zipplus LP Model on Jan 1st, 2003 and sold it on Sep 30th 2006 with 34K on Odo for 2.5Lakhs.

I bought the car for 3.72L OTR. I removed all ICE except for the sony explod HU ( which incidentally was a gift). I think i got a great deal. The dealers were quoting me 2.0L

OT: During entire 3 years and 9 months of my ownership of Santro there was " Not a single puncture"

@mobike: Did you sell it to a direct Buyer? Were the things smooth?

Hey guys,
Need some help. I recently found a guy selling a Red Palio 1.6 Sport, 2006 model with 10k KM on the odo (Through a dealer). But the owner is the US and wants to get rid of the car and hasn't quoted a price. The dealer also said the same and asked me to quote a price. I'm not really sure how much to offer...What will be a 'fair' price for this car?
I tried doing some research online but there arent many ppl selling Palio 1.6 Sport in bangalore. Help!

Thanks anyway guys! I got the car checked with a mech. it turned out that the vehicle had had an accident and two doors were repainted and the windshield was replaced. it was apparent that the accident was serious. when we confronted the dealer (Goodwill Cars, Bangalore - Mr. Khan) he said that he had just got a call from the seller admitting the accident etc.
Horrid most of these dealers are!

My Friends non ac m800 97 model carb engine 16,000 kms (new shape) was sold for 40,000 buck last year..
96 model old shape with A/c should probably go around 28-35,000 Rs

Since you are 3rd owner you should bargain further coz selling the car again as 4th owner will create trouble. MAx 75,000 and use the car the maximum as u can.

Hey Pingping, weren't you the one looking for a sedan in a very limited budget. just curious to know what you finally went for.

I have come across a 2000 Hyundai Accent Petrol which has done over 1lakh kms. It is being offered at rs 1.53 lakhs. Is it a good deal ?

Hi Friends!!

I am planning upgrade myself from Indigo to Skoda (Earlier had thought that will buy 2.2 VTT but then it was 1 against 4 votes so i lost). Have 2 options:

1. SKODA RIDER 1.9 TDI - 67000 Kms, 2004 Model - 6.5 Lacs (i know it is expensive)
2. SKODA RIDER 1.9 TDI - 68000 Kms, 2004 Nov Model - 6.25 Lacs

I dont understand the variation in 2 cars of same year and almost same reading. Well the 2nd car now shows 36000 on the ODO. I caught him red handed. He is willing to give the full Service Record alongwith a Checkup at the A.S.S.

What do you guys recommend??

Extended Warranty till 2010.
One free Service left.
Insurance till Mar 2009.
Hyderabad.

Request you guys for a good price for this car.
Owner is asking 1.9 lakhs.

It sounds like a good deal, but that would depend on the condition of a car. A car which has been driven for over a lakh kms has definetly been around the block a few times. Make sure its a good enough car, rather than just looking at the cost. Maintenance cost is also something you might want to keep in mind. Shouldnt happen that you get the car for 1.5L and then end up spending 50k in the first year just to keep it in a running condition.
