Thanks, I will also try the same way.
Regarding using wax on glass surface, I had tried the same with formula 1 wax and found that wipers leave a hazy film especially in the night. I guess with collinite too it may be the case.

I have been using the stuff for four years, and avoid Glass / Windows. Damp newsprint, or windscreen cleaner works best.

Re: Most durable wax I have encountered - Collinite 845

As mentioned earlier since Collinite 845 is out of stock had mailed Sanjay checking when the stock will be available. This is the reply I got -

Thanks for your E.mail.

I am not sure when C845 will be in stock again, imports take time.

But we have 2 other better waxes (pricing is on web site):

You can try Collinite 915 instead if you like or FinishKare Pink wax both are excellent & better then C845.

Sincerely,

Does anyone have any feedback on FinishKare Pink? . Collinite 915 is much an expensive option.

I too had got the same reply from Sanjay. Per inputs from joethomas, I then got it from greenzcarcare through ebay. Check out eBay.

Out of stock with them too. Saw that vicky.in was having it in stock, however saw some negative reviews on forum hence not booking with them.

Using wax on the window glass attracts grime in rains. I have faced problems driving in the night

Re: Most durable wax I have encountered - Collinite 845

Hi Detailers.

From the various discussions across many detailing threads on TBHP time and again, the discussion generally ends with C845 when we talk about Wax / Sealant. I have decided to order one for my Grey Figo as well however I have a concern.

Call me paranoid but I’m concerned about the originality of the product that is available in India. The image of the bottle on the Bringingbest.in website and the one on the Collinite.com website have a slight difference. I learnt about this website from TBHP itself and many have ordered C845 through Sanjay who manages this website.

Look below in the highlighted portions of the two images.
This is the Indian website

This is the Collinite.com website

To some, this would not matter much but a lot of fellow folks at Team BHP have warned against fake car wax market in India and that is a worrying sign. Could you please let me know how I can be sure about the authenticity of the product when there is an obvious difference in the website image and collinite.com image?

Links for both are -

Any help and prior experience in dealing with Bringingbest.in (Sanjay) is deeply appreciated.

No, a very genuine query prima facie. Even I have/had the same concern about many detailing products I have bought in India including Meguair's. Sanjay is one who responds quickly to e-mail queries. Why don't you just shoot out the same question to him and let us hear what he says.

Re: Most durable wax I have encountered - Collinite 845

I guess, collinite might have changed it recently. I see the same picture as in bringingbest site and autogeek.net.

Would wait for other detailing expert members to confirm on it

My C845 bottle bought in 2010. Clearly states 'Collinite's'. So this is not a recent phenomenon.
Even the autogeek c845 thread shows the same.

Re: Most durable wax I have encountered - Collinite 845

Hi Folks,

As suggested by thoma I did indeed sent the same concern to Sanjay from Bringingbest.in website and can now confirm that the Collinite products sold by him are genuine. Even the Collinite.com website shows him as their authorized distributor for India. Given this, I would recommend everyone to buy Collinite products only from this website.

Note - I am in no way affiliated to Sanjay or his website.

Here is the mail response I received from Sanjay.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hi Utkarsh,

The picture of some Collinite products we have on our web site are very old. Collinite recently (last year) changed the packing a little bit & we did not update our web site with new pictures.

You missed the most important point in your investigation though, the page on Collinite web site where we are listed as sole distributor of Collinite in India.

We introduced Collinite products first in India & have lakhs of satisfied customers all India.

Welcome to Collinite club!

Sincerely,

-Sanjay

Last weekend I gave the ninja a much needed wash and here are the pics after just one coat of collinite 845.

Second coat was applied a day later.

Just a regular wash with 3M car wash solution and collinite. No clay or anything else used. Pics are as is without any processing. Shot from my Xiaomi mi3.

Very good finish, Even today collinite is one of the better wax's/sealant that you can buy. I prefer this to some of the more establish brands.

One bottle of this can easily last you for over a decade if used properly.
