I guess it depends on the dealer and the stock.

Re: Volkswagen Polo 1.2L GT TSI : Official Review

One of my friend has acquired the GT TSI in December 2014 and has done 900 kms so far. Recently he has started feeling a jerk when the car downshifts from the 3rd to the 2nd gear, especially in Sports mode and under rapid deceleration.

Could folks owning the TSI comment if this is normal? He is a little worried thinking the car might be showing signs of DSG wear or failure already.

Nothing to worry. This is perfectly normal and has been experienced by pretty much everyone. It is a quirk of the dsg box. Not sure of the reason for the same.

Re: Volkswagen Polo 1.2L GT TSI : Official Review

Went to check out the TSi with a bhpian the other day.
The new ex showroom price is 8.64L; it would mean, that in places like Bangalore, it would go on the other side of 10L On road.

I agree, the car is nice to drive has a DSG transmission, but 10L for a Polo is simply too much. I would rather pick up a Laura TSi for less, and run circles around the Polo Tsi.

Bhpian D'Artagnan had booked the Polo Tsi recently in Bangalore and the on road price came to around 10.5L IIRC including the extended warranty.
Insanely high prices in Bangalore!

Was it Volkswagen Ambala?!
Make sure if you go ahead with your deal to get everything in writing.

Finally, they fitted the new 2014 headlights to my 2013 GT TSi. They took 2 days to study the wiring changes, tap the original harness to make changes, etc. Total cost Rs.37300!

wow. you are the first one to do this. please report back with some findings on improvement in lighting performance and pictures.

I guess you mentioned earlier that the warranty would still be void.

any reasons you didn't go for projector setup for similar amount of money instead of the new double barrel headlights...?

thanks.

For that amount of money you could've gotten some brilliant headlights with projectors. The dual barrel ones are simply not worth that much.

Warranty. It's a DSG car and I have also taken the extended warranty, I won't like to do any work on this car outside the service center.

Yes, it's a lot of money and I feel bad that I have to pay so much while the 2014 customers got these for free!

Anyway, quick word on the performance - these are much more effective than the stock 2013 lights, but not as much as the stock ones on my Laura. I will drive a 2014 Polo and mine back to back on the same stretch of the road in the night and compare. I will update.

Hi, can't answer your query about the Alnac question, but i had upgraded to 195/60 with.oem rims, and the comfort + grip both are excellent. Much better than stock apollo. So i suggest u upgrade to Michelin P3ST.

, .

The moti nagar showroom is offering these replica GTI headlights for 38k after exchange of the old lights.
So, I believe you were fleeced by a LOOOONG shot.
Anything done without splicing wires will ensure warranty. I don't understand how the service guy split the high and low into two separate barrels. So, you might want to check up on that as well.

Re: Volkswagen Polo 1.2L GT TSI : Official Review

The new double barrel headlights are made in CZ, the old ones were made in India. VW should have localized the new ones as well considering they fit both the mass market products Polo and Vento.

Authorized service center offering replica! Dilli mein kuch bhi ho sakta hain :-)
