Thankfully, I did use to drive a Tucson briefly (on lease 2016 model in the states) It had teething problems with its AT gearbox, there were 2 recalls for the same. The other driver assistance tech were also a hit n miss. Didn't ever face this in my Civic there though. Despite that it never really felt powerful on the road the figures were only on paper.
In India I had checked it too when I was prospecting Creta SX(o) diesel, cause Tucson was out of reach (34ish L onroad), however the build quality was a hell lot cheaper than the US one and felt like a blown up creta with interiors of the previous gen Creta. Fun fact, Tucson is also used as a cab in the states, and it really goes slow.

I only posted in this thread, well I joined the forum only last month, reason being I never owned a car ( either leased or used to drive my fathers or wife's car) and ofcourse never a Mahindra. This would be a first one if I get my hands on one, even in my extended family. Friends do have XUVs of all kind 300, 500 name it.

I understand that you are quite offended by the above and earlier posts of mine and thus you chose to digress from the reliability and niggles factor and bring in the AWD requirement. I don't know what kind of love and affection you have for Mahindra, but I can only wish you good luck for your future experience with your vehicle.
If its so reliable why dont I see a flurry of Tucsons on the road unlike Creta and if that diesel mill was so reliable why didnt they put it on the Alcazar instead slapped a puny 1.5 L mill which struggles for breath ( Additionally I think I had mentioned in a previous post I had TD the creta extensively and missed the famed Hyundai refinement there, as there were vibrations in the footwell and my leg used to get stuck between Clutch and the resting pedal everytime)

Re: Mahindra XUV700 Review

Quick query - I had booked my XUV700 through the dealer on Oct 8. The same day, the dealer shared a screenshot with the OTF number and I also got an email from Mahindra regarding the same. However, even 10 days later, when I log into the Mahindra website, it does not show my booking.

Is this something others have also experienced? IT seems odd that even 10 days later, all the bookings do not reflect at the Mahindra backend.

Similar is the case with me; booked on 7th through dealer but booking does not show up on site yet. Interestingly, the entry I had in cart disappeared once the dealer booked the car. I confirmed booking details using screenshots from Dealer Management System which SA shared.

Heard on another forum that Mahindra customer care confirmed that booking through dealers won't show up under my bookings. Not sure if it is really the case. I couldn't get a response from their customer care yet.

Don't understand the language but from what I understood, he was lane changing while being dangerously close to the vehicle ahead. IMO AEB has correctly braked and lowered speed in this case.

ADAS actually encourages safe and legal driving but those who still want to recklessly overtake can turn it off.

Understanding how ADAS works is very crucial before using it, I hope Mahindra provides sufficient documentation and makes people aware of it's limitations.

Wow I cannot believe such personal remarks and accusations are allowed here. I might be new here but this sort of behavior ruins the decorum this forum is known for.

Yes, happened with me also. Booked through dealer, received email from Mahindra and OTF no from dealer. The booking is not shown in my account. I think my account on Mahindra is id’ed by your phone number which dealer might have put his own. My dealer said since you received mail your booking is intact

Yet here we are, me being a newbie not a single post redacted despite a desperate cry to do so .
Request other genuine Bhpians with depth of knowledge and true experience to share their insights here.

Re: Mahindra XUV700 Review

As a member of the forum reading through this thread of/ for valuable information, a request to members to ignore and move past posts, they consider is not agreeable with or not worth replying/ entertaining (but end up doing so).

Sometimes it becomes difficult and a challenge to ignore avoidable posts (many) and get to the useful ones. Let's just agree to disagree with some comments, smile and move on. We may know already and/or we will know, when the time is right, about our choices and fate.

Let's move on, it might help everyone. There are many out there, who count on valuable information, in this forum.

--------

For folks who want to know about/ see different features or just information about the XUV 7OO, search for a channel called Jojo Wheelie on YouTube. He's a Mahindra dealership employee, making videos on specific features of the vehicle.
Disclaimer: no way related to the channel or have any interest in its viewership. The videos (in Hindi) showcases aspects of the car, we can see. That's all.

.
Agreed. That's why there may be some teething trouble and a steep learning curve for ADAS users in the Indian conditions. What ADAS assumes as a risky lane change maneuver is a fairly common occurrence in India. This may lead to accidents, and a bad reputation for the manufacturer which is not entirely warranted.
In fact, I think there should be a driving simulator at the dealerships/workshops for understanding ADAS.

I don't think dealer bookings will reflect on the site. I have not received any communication from Mahindra, but the dealer shared the OTF number.. I received two calls from dealer saying I may be contacted by Mahindra for feedback of customer experience, but no call till now.

On a side note, my booking details shared by dealer is showing at 10.04 AM on 7th and OTF is OTF22A000xxx (redacted).. I have booked AX7 diesel automatic Silver. As discussed previously on this thread, the meaning of this series is a mystery.

Haha that would be cool but too costly. Even a handful of instructional videos of DOs and DON'TS will be sufficient for this youtube generation.

That being said, since ADAS isn't all that new, most premium car owners already have it for years. Practically, if ADAS caused any serious mishaps in Indian conditions, we'd have heard at least a few cases by now.

Everyone who have OTF22A000xxx are those who managed to book it under 30 mins. I believe this is actually in a serialised order so you should be at the top of *some* queue at least. We should know more by next week since invoicing process for initial petrol models should begin by then.

Does the Alphabet after 'OTF22..' signify something? The reason for my question is because my OTF number is something like 'OTF22G000XXX', however my booking was done in the first 5-10 mins with the dealer (I was in the showroom then on the 7th of Oct)

Don't think anyone has figured that out yet. Could be region, dealership category, model variant? Only Mahindra employees can say for certain. From current info. we can make an educated guess only about the ending numbers being in a serialised order. Any number below 1000 is a good sign I guess. Dealers might have an idea as well since the OTF system isn't new, might be a good idea to ask next time anyone visits the showroom.

Please reconsider. The kid should at least be 4"9 tall before they can sit without booster seat. At least 5-6 years more till your kid can sit in the front seat.

And which rule do you follow is something I am curios to know. Before the kid reaches a certain height they wont be able to use a car's seat belt.

The front airbags in the car can be a lot more dangerous for the kid than save them.

Please refrain from this practice at least for a few more years.

5. An updated version of the XUV700 with more features such as auto dimming IRVM, powered tailgate and ventilated seats etc will be launched by the end of next year. We can also expect some variant rejig in this timeframe with Mahindra discontinuing some slow selling variants.

11. According to my sources post the second price increase around January 2022, there won't be any major price rise for the next 1.5 years atleast.

That's all for now. Stay tuned for more info.
5 and 11 looks contradicting, either feature deletion on the cards to accommodate auto dimming IRVM, powered tailgate and ventilated seats (or) place them as part of the L pack and increase the pack cost while maintaining the ex-showroom price of the car to be the same.

I have managed to book through dealer on 7-Oct, it also has the price mentioned as per day 1 for AX7-DSL-7seater-MT and OTF Sr No is something like B-664XXXX. This starts adding to more confusion on the alphanumeric combination and the numbers also doesn't signify the series considering the fact only 25k booking were accepted on day 1.
We don't have a choice other than to wait for the so external consultancy's algorithm to decide on the delivery dates.
