Property Tax discussion

Deadline has been extended till May 30th to pay the tax with 5% rebate.

I had the same issue. Sent an email and got my receipt for the successful payment.

I had a similar situation and this is what I did after a week to get my receipt:
1. Go to BBMP Payment site
2. Click "Know your tax paid details" link
3. Enter your PID and click "Find"
4. Select the owner name from the search result and Click "Show"
5. If your payment is successful, you will see an entry for 2015-16. Copy the Renewal Appl No. from that row, that is the Internet application #
6. Now go back to BBMP Site (#1)
7. Click "Online Payment Receipt - Reprint" link
8. Paste Internet application number (#5) and click "Show"
This should now download your Internet Receipt in PDF document.

This worked. Took some time as I only have the new PID. The system seems to be accepting the old one here. Finally managed to get the application number with the 08-09 application number. Searching the old receipt took the time.

Simpler way is to look at your previous year(s) receipt(s) - it will mention both Old and New PID's

has anyone paid BBMP property tax online this year after the app refresh? IS there any issue one needs to be aware of? thanks DF

I successfully paid BBMP property tax for the year 2016-17, using my Axis Bank debit card. I received sms acknowledgement from BBMP and their payment status shows full payment paid and receipt generated. But, I am not able to get the tax receipt in pdf as the pop-up message says that the details are not available.

So, I took screen-shots of my application, payment status and sms and saved them in my laptop.

1. Your PID no or 2008 SAS Application no. to login for payment
2. 3 ward zone, viz. previous, revised current zone, & capping if any. You will find this information in the BBMP property tax website

First 2 weeks BBMP has fixed many issues in the portal. Now it should be easier to pay online.

I called the helpline number given in their website. But, it is out of order! I tried in vain to call their WhatsApp number; it rang, but no response from the other end. I sent a message in WhatsApp, which was received, but still no response.

Sorry for that! Probably a ding from the server where the handshake was not completed. My understanding is that as long as the receipt is available, the tax is paid. Of course you can pay by visiting your neighborhood BBMP office.

If you are asking whether you can pay online, then AFAIK they have stopped accepting arrears as per the old SAS rules.

Done and dusted with this over the weekend.

I tried doing it online, but glad it threw and error because I have been hearing a lot of confusions and wrong information regarding the new tax amount and property size and so forth.

Had to stand for a while in the que to get the new tax amount challan after which I went straight to Canara bank and deposited the amount via cheque.

Any idea if we need to go back to bank to collect the receipt or will it be posted to us?
