I mentioned the word "hard" because if you leave the wax applied on the surface for a longer time, say 15-20 min. or so, the effort to buff the excess will be more. Regarding the Waxpol, i am talking about the retro orange tin. Its also a good product but very hard to buff. As far as the abrasiveness is concerned both the waxes are safe & contain no abrasives . Actually Waxpol has some sort of fillers which fill in light scratches and swirls.

Lucky you. I only have the budget for a hose so searching for it now.

Found this interesting nozzle with soap / shampoo storage. I doubt these are available in india.

re: A superb Car cleaning, polishing & detailing guide

^^ There's something that I did some years back, which didn't cost me much also. I bought a water pump, a small motor basically which goes by the name of "tullu pump" here in my area. This pump was connected to the roof top water tank (those black Sintex tanks) with the help of a pipe & another pipe at the outlet. I didn't buy any of these hoses but regulated the pressure with my fingers.

The pressure wasn't as great as the professional car washers available but useful for most cases. The pump cost me around 700 rupees about 4 years back, should still cost approx. the same. And to give you an idea about the power of this small motor, it was capable of pushing water to the Sintex tank placed on 2nd floor.

Drive safe.

re: A superb Car cleaning, polishing & detailing guide

^^ I know exactly what you are talking about. The problem with an open pipe / hose is that everytime you have to run back to close the tap. Now assume you have an knob at the end of the pipe to start-stop the water + change the pressure, wouldnt that be effective and quick. Something like this

re: A superb Car cleaning, polishing & detailing guide

^^ Yes this is much better. What I had was basically a GI pipe coming out of the bottom of the Sintex tank, with a lever to check the flow of water through it. This GI pipe was attached to one of those plastic pipes (used in bathrooms or lawns) & it was this pipe which was attached to the inlet of the pump. Similarly, the outlet had a small section of GI pipe screwed into it & this plastic pipe running ahead. At the time, I didn't have any such attachments as you have posted & I indeed had to ask my cousin on second floor to turn the lever around to close the water flow from the Sintex tank into the pump

Do let us know if you are able to get something of this sort working for yourself.

Drive safe.

The closest we (indians) can get hold of is this (as suggested by fine69)

I use a spray gun similar to what's shown here. Its not a very high pressure wash but meets my need.
I will search in the local markets for this / this type of hose and then decide. I cant change the hose every now and then.

@fine69: can you post a video maybe of the different spray settings ? you got it from ebay ?

We had a mini TBHP detailing meet last weekend(prior to the one gone)
It so happened that after seeing the results on the Black ford Ikon( of which pics are posted), a common friend had requested for a treatment to be done on his metallic red I20. he had initially considered going in for a 3M treatment, but seeing the results achieved had requested if we could lend our expertise. Other members interested in witnessing the surface rejuvenation first hand were invited over to see the swirls being banished.
We had already done most of the car, just had a couple of sections left and thought it good to have members who wanted to see the process, come over to see the completion.

The following TBHP members turned up to witness the event- VMC, H_Zoom. We had a lot of discussions ranging from car detailing to latest cars on the road.
After we were done with, the results were amazing, even exceeded our expectations. The i20 paint is really great, as expected from a premium offering in the hatchback segment.

Overall a fun day especially for the happy owner who was ecstatic to see the outcome! Some pics, before and after the work was done.
Looking forward to the next meet, which maybe the next time we do a BHPians car.

Autoglym HD wax has great reviews.

Only downside I read about it was, that it kinda catches dust!!
(but that can be solved by using a spray sealant after HD cures!)

$20 for that is a steal!

Let me pick up a couple of boxes tomorrow. Don't know when I shall get a chance to detail my car though! Winter has started showing its colors here in NC.

nirmal - that red i20 is just out of this world! Amazing work.
